I'm never running bare metal Linux again now that i know how well it runs in a hypervisor. I get 99% of bare metal perf and a non shit battery life

Not a bad idea. I found that Guix SD actually ran way way faster in qemu under Fedora with access to less than half of my cores and ram than on bare metal. Probably a firmware issue.
