That was me. It doesn't have anything to do with the extension but your browser. Try librewolf and enable jxl in about:config

I was trying to implement in the script external jxl decoders in js.

Chromium is gatekeeping the JXL support. They started implementing it then cut it off.
Recently the interest cam eback and should come in 2026.
So Chromium fags need to wait.

Google HATES (capital H) JXL. They went all in with WEBP.
