For me no, i actually benefit from the estrogen cores because my use case is heavily threaded. Even for lightly threaded tasks, i don't see any difference with e-cores enabled or not. Scheduling issues they once created seem basically fixed as of today. There may be some fringe cases where it's better to disable them (aside from the obvious avx512 utilization) but i dont know.

Is Intel the only ones that can do thunderbolt/usb-c connection still? It was something like that, but it may have just been on laptops.( I only remember when it was a Mac thing but I've seen it talked about on laptops.)

Alright that's fair, i've never bought a prebuilt because i hate mystery meat and knowing the build wasn't assembled with care but I do acknowledge there have been times in pc building where it was a better value to buy prebuilds than build one yourself. This is one of those times, the last one in memory was around 2020-2021.

Have you considered that you probably don't need a 5090? Get a 5080 or even a 4090 and spend the money saved towards ram and ssd and whatnot...

Hi anons, so on new years eve I was invited to my parents house and we had like 30 guests. My parents had their tv broken a year ago and because of financial situations they didn't upgrade so they had a small irrelevant monitor (like 32'' in the living room)

So i decided to bring them my LG C2 for the night so the guests don't bad mouth etc. Long story short both my parents fell in love with the monitor and i feel bad getting it back from them and letting them destroy their eye sight on the small monitor.

So i got the C2 in 2022 and it's been my main monitor for video editing and some vidya from time to time. My question is: Is c5 the king of oleds now? Should i consider any other options? Should i go and get my C2 back? Any advice would be appriciated

I came from a 3090 and it was an amazing difference. The 5090 eats 4k. I can run 4k DLAA on most games and keep around 120fps easily. The heaviest I've encountered is Cyber Punk, and it can run maxed/ray reconstruction and still get 60fps and framegen works fantastic to bump it to 165fps for smoothness. CPU is limiting in No man's sky at huge bases and some slowdowns when my nephews play Palworld due to bases again. Get whatever is cheaper at this point. I have a Gigabyte gaming OC. It now has a water block.

Should be in hwinfo or asus's proprietary slop software if you have an Astral. Nobody else is doing per pin monitoring. I think Zotac has some fuses that will prevent a failing 12vhpwr from arc welding through your tempered glass side panel and starting a house fire but will do nothing to save the card.
