Fucking trash operating system rebooted again while I was making this thread and lost everything I had written. I am so beyond mad dealing with this trash tinkertranny OS. If I had installed Linux I would of been done long ago but noooooo... This piece of trash had me blocked from using the laptop I bought because it wanted to use my Microsoft account without any other option. It wanted my fucking Microsoft password and it withhold my fucking laptop for ransom until I gave it the fucking Microsoft password to my account. I will post this now before it reboots again but I am not done.

It all went downhill after LTSC 10 my man. Every freetard on the planet is praying that Valve will dethrone Microsoft as normies realize you can play vidya on Linux with like 90% reliability now.

You should have walked away immediately at the mere mention of such a thing, now be a good boy and reap what you sow.

Its been going downhill since windows 7.
Win8 was a regression with a flat coat of a paint.
Win10 was worse than 8 in every single way.
Win11 is worse than 10 in every single way.

Windows 7 was peak and software from the XP and win7 era was also peak.

Everything in the digital space after about 2012-2013 has been pretty awful.
>>
No you see OP It's YOUR fault for not tinkering with it every single day to make sure the settings are as you left them and that windows didn't change shit on you. - Windows shill

XP was peak. All 7 did was introduce worse telemetry than that of Vista while retaining the bloat.
>>
It ask a million fucking questions about useless fucking shit I don't want. It forces me to answer a million fucking questions the answer is no a million fucking times. No, Microsoft I don't want to tie my browser to your fucking email fuck you so you can train your slop AI on my data without paying me you fucking piece of hoy horseshit corporation. Fuck you, just let me use my fucking device in piece. I already paid you implicitly for your garbage OS because otherwise I would have gone out of my way to just deny you my money. You already stole my money so could you just fuck off and let me in peace!

Look there's a million fucking updates and it hides important updates in the OPTIONAL fucking tab. Really? Fucking drivers are optional updates now? Using six fucking gigabytes of RAM and for what? I haven't even done the updates fuck.

Windows 7 had no telemetry or bloat. I was running it a week before the official launch on a cracked version even. I stayed on 7 until 8.1 was released which allowed users to re-enable the old start menu and get rid of the tablet interface for desktop use.

I was there from the launch until the sunset, there was no bloat and no telemetry at all.

Telemetry was added in windows 8, but was mostly ignored at the time. By the time windows 10 came around, users began to take the telemetry problem more seriously.

Name any telemetry or bloat from windows 7, im waiting.

But mein fuhrer, LTSC 10 should get a pass since they allow you to turn some of the GLOBOHOMO off...

Windows 7 didn't start out with telemetry, but it was added in later updates

No you fucking Pajeet Win10 was also shit. You like to pretend all the hot horseshit Microsoft pulled with Win10 but I remember. I remember how Microsoft tried to boost Win10 numbers by withholding DX12 exclusive to Win10 BEFORE Win10 was even out. Before that garbage OS was even out it already was up to some shenanigans.

Windows was never good. It has always been trash. The only reason Win7 was decent is because it was using Vista's corpse as a disguise after years of updates to make Vista stable and usable because only god knows Vista was another hot pile of dogshit.

Look at this shit. It will take HOURS for this to finish. Not only that these are not even all of the updates, there's important updates DRIVERS in the optional tab like wtf is that about? Optional drivers? tf. It wouldn't be a problem if the updates were fast like in Linux but for some reason Microsoft updates are so slow and resource consuming.

I like Linux better than Windows, but I like a lot of programs that aren't available on Linux. Because software is a tool, and I am a REAL computer guy, I have multiple machines and some of them run Windows and do not intentionally cuck myself into only using Linux performatively.

Windows 8.1 + Classicshell is the best you can get. Though I would pay for a Windows 2000 + security updates.

XP and up had telemetry built into them. It's called the Consumer Experience Improvement Program (CEIP) and was OFF by default. It never nagged you to turn it on either.

A number of those Windows Updates just added more telemetry capture scenarios to CEIP in Windows 7 (and maybe 8). What is truly concerning are the Windows Updates that added the Diagnostics Tracking Service to 7 & 8 (10 has it built-in), which I've never found any good documentation on what this service does

Is there a problem with ShutUp10 I should know about?
>>
>>107748214
Non that anon, but...

The changes these types of programs make are sometimes reverted back to their defaults after a Windows Update installs. ShutUp10 started putting notices in the program about this early on.
