No, Linux is beyond saving on the desktop, Linux users don't understand the needs of desktop users. They only match their own needs. And that is just unix with a GUI.
Desktop users want a functional operating system, unix isn't that, that's why it lost against Windows.

do a document based window manager like mac os ui is + add tiling. Makes a ton more sense than these weird tiling + windows hybrids. The problem with Linux UI is that it copies the worst UI design, which is Microjeet UI
