The closest/coolest thing I've seen so far is people using AI to optimize or otherwise improve AI code. Self feeding like that is very interesting to me when the results are measurable/objective. If the machine figures out how to compute something twice as fast as it could before, that's pretty interesting of a concept. What will happen when one of the agents really is good enough to improve itself and you let it do so day after day, and consider the relative difference between how fast and long it works versus a human of the same caliber.
