Why is it the best code editor?
>>
>>107765400
you are pozz and probably have jew cum in your stomach and bbc cum in your anus right now.
vim 4 lyfe

why would you want to type MORE?
are you a rust cultist or something?

The best editor you can have is the editor you make yourself.

I agree with you OP. I don't even use KDE anymore but I always install Kate on every system I use.

geany

I have two commands I run in geany's menu that auto compile GEGL GIMP plugins and put them in the gegl-04/plugins folder

Also the "scribble" area that Geany has that is where I put GEGL syntax when I convert it to the pipelines
>>
>>107765513
so vim or emacs
gotcha
>>
>>107765555
I said the editor you make yourself, not the editor you configure and write plugins yourself.
>>
>>107765506
It's not about typing more, it's about not having the editor get in the way of your typing, be it much or little. Vim was designed by literal treeswinging monkey niggers and that shit does not work well with a white man's brain.

It's not, VS Code is.

The one you are more comfortable with.

All editors suck ass. I'm starting to think literally every programmer past a certain level of development has to write their own editor because there is just no way they can have the full control over any other editor that they need to best fit their style

didn't work, btw, as you can see on the bottom left. I only want those highlights to apply in a terminal buffer. Point being, I have line numbers in the terminal and can navigate scrollback or zle with them. I can even use nvim with edit-command-line in zsh. Won't show pictures and gifs, though. So, I'll have to stick with just bland wezterm for general tasks and wezterm start nvim +te for srs biznus

Text rendering is significantly shittier on QT as compared to DirectWrite by default and tinkering with QT is a nightmare for the end user, nah you're either blind or an acolyte
Even direct rendering in notepad++ is better higher quality than this niggershit UI framework

I've never used anything else than Nano. Vim once for installing Gentoo and then I realised I want my NANO back <3

Yes, but you and I are way too stupid for that and we need to become sissies and get fucked in the ass by megacorps.
However I am smart enough to make my own editor. Are you this smart as well?
>>
>>107773820
Just make your own editor anon. It's worth it.
>>
>>107773965
Exactly.
Building things yourself is absolutely based and you should do it as much as possible.

For actual coding I use VSCodium. Perfect and unmatched.
Now, for notes and documentation I use Kate a lot, and in that regard, it's also unmatched, it surpassed notepad++ a long time ago.

Microsoft Word.

Nano cant even copy paste from its own editor to your system. Its literally worthless.

Micro is better in every single way and should be the default linux text editor.

Kate is pretty shit since it’s so fucking LSP dependent for basic features, and for some reason error inlays don’t work on Windows. Like, god damn, I hate that Kate is actually a reasonable choice on Windows, but it’s so bad that it makes VS Code feel justifiable even if it needs a fucking 500 MB ram on idle
