And if so, which one do you use? I want to buy one but I might just pick one up at a thrift store, they seem to all be trash nowadays.

no
>>
>>107766554
Just clock with standard alarm sound. Can't risk ruining my day with nigger music.
>>
>>107766554
I have normal clock without radio. Unironically want one with an internet access so it was always running with perfect time.
>>
>>107766554
i own a radial cock.
it goes from your mom, to your sister, to your father, to your grandmother, and then back to your mom again.
>>
>>107766598
>internet access
Get an atomic clock. Internet isn't needed.
>>
I use the one I took from my grandfather's house after he died... 11 years ago. Time flies. I don't actually use the radio function, I can just make it beep.
>>
>>107766554
I've been wanting to get one with battery backup.
>>

My parents had a clock radio like pic related that used flip digits. The little stripe thing in the middle moved to indicate seconds.

thing thats frustrating is if you miss the hour or minute you want. you have to go through all the hr/min numbers until you get to the one you want again.

I had this hidden camera alarm clock that is now useless because the app is outdated. Actually it was super obvious that there was a lens in the screen so I stuck reflective window tint over it, which looked even cooler like the numbers were coming out of a mirror. I was hoping to make some homemade porn with it but I forgot women aren’t that attracted to me

Yes, I have a Sony Dream Machine that my dad got my for my birthday in 1998.
I still use it to this day.
>>
>>107766811
Ehhhh I had one of those, the radio signal was really good and clear

i had a sony and wanted to replace it when it's screen failed, only to find out that sony no longer sells alarm clock radios in my country.
i bought a philips one instead, but it never seems to respect what radio station the alarm is configured for and chooses its own instead.

for me its the classic digicube
shame DAB wasn't around then.
>>
>>107767231
they sell a fuckload of variations of picrel, they are more radio than clock tho.
>>
>>107766554
I have one but it turns on at 6am every day to the same fucking sonny and cher song - "I got you babe"
kinda annoying desu
>>
>>107766554
Yes, I was tired of worrying if my phone alarm was gonna go off or not
>>
>>107766554
I have an irrational fear of them because I got scared when I woke up for school hearing a distorted radio voice
>>
>>107766554
I still have one, though I mostly just use it as a clock. It's a Sony model, but I don't remember which.
>>

Retarded fag zoomer problem
>>
>>107767234
They still sell a cube that has DAB(+) but it's fucking £75. There's also a version with just AM/FM that's about £15 on Ebay.
>>
>>107766554
I tried using a clock radio but it made me realise how much I hate the radio so I smashed it. It was a Roberts FM/AM radio, not made anymore.

I use one of those light alarm clocks that makes my dumb caveman brain wake up because sun turned on
>>
Sangean is the brand for radios. They have a million different products so there's probably one for you. I have a WR11BT+ for the kitchen and it's excellent but it doesn't have a clock. I'm thinking of getting this one for the bedroom but it is pricey.
>>
>>107766554
>Do you still own a clock radio?
fuck no

>>107768023
dab is such an embarrassing meme.
>>
I have one that is also a lamp. Night time I use it for reading and in the morning it starts slowly ramping up the brightness 30min before the alarm. I like it because atm I wake up 2 hours before sunrise.

a whole Universe crammed full of things to validly get upset over..
and you picked DAB?
>>
>>107768983
It is perfectly valid to get upset over the trashing of public infrastructure.
>>
>>107768983
>and you picked DAB?
yes. it's a dogshit standard that's a forced meme that people barely use in a lot of countries. it's an incredibly shit replacement for fm. i know fm radio isn't the most stellar of audio quality but it's sure as fuck far greater than the low bitrate dogshit digital slop whos signal just dies instantly if you go out of range.

39y old Sierra clock radio.. still works fine
>>
>>107766554
I own two of them, they are indestructibles.
One is a Candle brand with fake wood. I don't use them.
>>
>>107766554
Yes. They're based.
>>
>>107766554
I have three. Two are just time projectors with thermometers that may or may not be accurate. I have one proper clock radio from the early 2000s that has a knockout plug for an external antenna and surprisingly wideband AM radio reception.
>>
>>107766565
Everyone had these at one point and they're built like tanks. It's a decent choice from a functional standpoint.
>>
>>107766554
Don't have one anymore, but the last one I had was the one in your pic lol. Used it up until about 2015 or so. Nowadays I just wake up bright and early regardless of whether or not I want to, no alarm necessary.
>>
>>107766598
I vibe coded one with esp32 wifi and an oled display. Mostly as a screwing around experiment. Probably $4 in parts.

Picrel lives on the shelf above my monitor. The split flaps are loud enough that I can hear the difference between a minute passing and the top of the hour while lying in bed.
>>
>>107766554
I used to have one in my room, but I'd often pick up radio stations in my head, so I got rid of it.
