Monitors are at historic low prices right now. But all of you are going to wait until they 3x in price before you decide you want one
>>
I have too many monitors already
>>
>Monitors are at historic low prices right now.
They're literally no cheaper than 15 years ago. Yes, I checked.
>>
>>107774752
Even good OLEDs are pennies now.
>>
I already 13.33x-ed my pixel count earlier this year, and HDR 160hz. Under $1000 total. Basically free.

>Monitors are at historic low prices right now
but I hate retarded widescreens, I want a 4:3 or at least a 3:2, and they don't make these anymore. :(
>>
>>107774972
They make more than at any other point in the past 20 years https://pcpartpicker.com/products/monitor/#a=3002,4003
>>
>>107774752
>3x in price
Why would they, it's an explicitly end user focused product and manufacturers of matrices don't sign at being captured by any current hysteria
>>
>>107774752
are they really? can you recommend me a 1440p ultrawide oled?
>>
>>107774752
They'll continue to go down in price, nobody will need them once every other component becomes unattainable.
>>
>>107774752
1080p 60Hz is enough for anybody.
>>
>>107774972
>or at least a 3:2
Gawfolk makes a 28" one at 3840x2560 resolution. I can't vouch for the quality since I don't own it, but it's on sale at Amazon right now and the base price is pretty cheap anyway. I suppose it's time to give it a try.

ugly stand
>>
>>107774752
my OLED monitor cost me 1000 bucks and it arrived broken.

Quick, ban this thread!
One of the cattle is on the precipice of realising why this shithole is full of poorfags, and always will be!
>>
>>107774752
Just got two 32" monitors and my two 27" will go as verticals on the sides.
Have no need for more.

I don't need a new monitor right now but I might need one 5 years from now, why the fuck should I be forced to pay attention to shit I don't need right now?

Why shouldn't I buy a KTC M27T6?
>27" 1440p 180Hz VA panel with an 1152-zone mini LED FALD backlight.
>>
>>107774752
I have a 4k tv for movies and a 280hz 1080p monitor for gaming, I don't need more

Oled is still too expensive
>>
>>107774752
where the fuck are my reasonably priced 32 inch 4k IPS monitors then? I made the mistake of buying an LG 32GR93U-B and that piece of shit panel died in less than a year
>>
>>107774752
I'm just buying books and dvds for dirt cheap. Fuck your technology, fuck AI slop and fuck you.

>>107774752
Monitors are free. I haven’t bought one since I was a college kid.
>>
>>107774954
I bought it in summer and it's great. No regrets.
You do have to clean the screen with microfiber cloth and distilled water tho, because some dots appear in the screen

I am waiting for QDEL (also known as QD-EL, QD-LED, EL-QD, or even NanoLED)
it will totally become real at some point and won't have some flaw that prevents it from being good, and then my patience will be rewarded
>>
Are they actually?
>>
>>107786016
Historically yes.
LCDs are dirt cheap
OLED while "expensive" is alot cheaper than what was being charged for extremely high end LCDs back in the day.
