Everything is already from China, but here we discuss the cheap chink shit you see on various sites.

One of the best chinkshit purchases I've ever done is glow-in-the-dark tape. I've put stripes of it on furniture legs and corners and mine glows so well that if you wake up in the middle of the night, you can still see it so you won't stub your toes and don't have to turn on the lights. You can also put it near light switches or other buttons you want to activate without having to turn on the lights first. It looks like your typical glow in the dark stuff, glows green in the dark and is greenish-yellowish white, blends well with white or pale wood furniture. My tape has strong permanent adhesive and glossy surface, easy to cut cleanly into whatever shapes you need. Posting in chinkshit because I first found it on Aliexpress and haven't seen it in any local hardware stores.

this shit is magic, it glows so much brighter than glow-in-the-dark stuff i am used to. it's also neat to lume small things with, i put it on my bike's gear indicator. bet you can use a hole puch to make luminous dots and put them on things.
>>

jesus fucking christ
new rule is to buy things with shopping credit if you don't care about refunding or malfunctions i guess. real money and ali dispute/paypal chargebacks on things which are high risk
>>
>>107780733
looks like shit and weird. but i would like to try it, bc why not
>>
>>107780546
dude, I bought it like 8 years ago. Buy it for life kind of thing. It's like 2 bucks. Everyone should just buy it.
>>107780604
Yeah, it's so much better than the glowie stars I used to glue to the ceiling as a child. I guess with the toys they just embedded some glowie powder within partially translucent plastic. Whereas in the tape it's a good layer the stuff under fully transparent plastic coating.
You actually don't want to put it too close to where you sleep because it glows too bright and you can't turn that shit off. Or use smaller pieces so they won't light up the room so much. Put multiple rows of tape on a piece of cardboard and you have a flashlight. I was actually thinking of putting a slab of it near the sink in the bathroom so you could wash your hands without turning on the light at night, though that might be excessive.
>>107780717
If you swipe a flashlight on it point blank, it glows pretty bright, you can literally draw a trail on it that fades in real time. But the low lever glow seems to last borderline forever. In pitch black, you can see it the entire night. My understanding on the physics is that it works based on half-life with some electron levels decaying randomly, but human eyes are almost infinitely sensitive to smallest amounts of light. The half-life is probably same in all the green stuff, but if it has more of it, the baseline is brighter so it can stay visible longer even after lot of decay.
>>
>>107780733
That looks like such a crappy gimmick that you would get bored of in 5 minutes or stop playing cause your thumbs cramped up.
>>
>>107780733
When they first announced it with just a photo, not a demo video, most people thought it's some kind of gyro force feedback counterweight for using entire controller as a steering wheel. Now that would have been cool.

The best stuff is toxic. Not talking about glow in the dark materials as I have no idea about that, just saying in general.
Toxicity is obviously bad so it has to be better in some other way otherwise it wouldn't be used at all. Sometimes it's just price, other times it's effectiveness, most often it's both.
But you could simply not stuff that tape deep in your ass and you'd be fine.

see, this is the issue i have with the REEE toxic cancerous chinkshit crowd here. it's photoluminescence. light goes into the phosphors which stores the energy and slowly discharges as soon as you turn off the lights. mcdonalds toys in the 90s had them, often coated with a layer of translucent plastic that made them childsafe if little bobby put it in their mouth.

>I've been told before that there was some glow in the dark material that was in toys and stuff that was literally unsafe and toxic.
by whomst? if we're talking about the 60's, women would paint things with radium and lick the paintbrushes to wet them which caused mouth cancer. google says we use strontium aluminate and zinc sulfide nowadays which are both non-toxic

Grok can't find issues specific to glow in the dark materials that you charge with light, but you are probably talking about tritium which is a passively glowing radioactive substance and banned outside of china for general public.
The usual chinkshit toxicity risk applies however.

there's around 3 or 4 board layouts, and essentially you want to clear the middle part as much as possible and save the side tiles until you absolutely need to use them. here's the kicker though: you want to sync the depletion of the side tiles with the middle part to complete at the same time
power ups are super useful and you'll probably need to use the swap, the remove 3 tiles plus the revive+remove 3 every game unless you are very lucky
other than that, that's it. you'll learn to play and get faster every time you play it and you get unlimited tries per day to complete. i usually just play once to get 200 gems and move on with my day

the roach place (for pol)
basically even if you buy 1 item you will need to go through the same customs duty procedures as buying a whole box filled with €1499 worth of items.
Getting a customs representitive etc for a single item would cost at minimum 200-300 euros (converted).

This was basically caused by the lobbying of local companies. They are currently "only screwing buyers by selling a $3 chink shit for $15", now they will be selling them for $30 or $50 because you can't buy the chink shit otherwise.
For the last year and a half we could buy anything below €30 by paying "only 60% tax"
I bought an iem in 2024 and paid 85% tax because the item was discounted but the tax calculation was based on the original price.

Before 2020 I bought over 100 items from aliexpress, including a $400 laptop gpu and I was a frequent poster here.

But I guess someone now has the opportunity to create a "reverse taobao agent" company and make some bank while helping people.
Hopefully at least. Because most chink shit isn't even sold locally like for example you can maybe find 1 out of 100 good chink shit iems.

No, it's July first that the deadline, then the different cuntrys can impose the taxes whenever they want. I got a package a couple of days ago without any, at least in my cuntry they have to announce it before they do it. So I've been ordering like a woman right now to get everytime I need the next few years.
>>
>>107798357
Here aliexpress imports choice items in bulk and then sends your packages domestically. Isn’t that the same in all countries? And wouldn’t that circumvent these tax rules?
>>
>>107799832
allegedly they will look at the coontents listing with a magnifying glass and multiply the fee with the number of unique rows
>>
starting to worry some of my packages wont arrive
but I hope it is just the holidays that clogged up customs and they have a huge backlog
>>
>>107799852
I guess in that case the single listing of a bundle of items like the IEM multipack would count as one item, and would technically be the loophole.
It would be funny listings for odd assortment of stuff started popping up.
>>
my dinosaur miniature better not be stowed away in a rice field or asbestos factory somewhere
>>
>>107799832
They dont do it that way over here. They make the package in china and then send a single package over here.
But maybe with this law they could start doing it that way instead. I'd assume at least one company would start doing it; they wouldn't leave the money on the table (I hope).
And about the taxes, right now all these sites take the 60% tax automatically on payment and probably register the package it to some goverment database. They probably open all other packages and manually look up the price.

lol I found this posted in the review section of an item that was advertised as the usual
>discreet shipping dear friend we value your privacy

for my own orders in the past I ordered something probably not very fit for wearing in public with those jingling bells
they were not dampened at all and you could hear the package jingle at the post office at the slightest move
but at least in that case there is plausible deniability about why it is jingling

nowadays I am past the awkward blushy phase if a package happens to say something on the label (but I would still prefer if it did not)

Yeah I imagine this happens because those dropshipping warehouses don't have a process for discreet labeling so the labels always end up with the entire online listing title.

I always buy sex shit on aliexpress with other stuff so I receive one of those aggregate grey bags without item descriptions. I most often buy many different items so it happens naturally anyway but I make sure to do it if I'm buying something "private".
Well, one time one chang took longer than the other changs to send his shit and what do you know, it of course was the snail masturbation cup I ordered, sent with a unique tracking number, by itself.
I always get guys bringing shit, I suppose logistics isn't a job for a lady, but for this small package, yeah, it was a girl, around 20, and she was like, "oh, are you anon? teehee, here's your package". Of course it had the whole "masturbation cup for men sex toy suction silicone lubrication vagina" shit on the description next to my name and adress. Fucking hell, chang.

I am not so worried about the mail people
they have seen everything

but if it is too big to fit in the mailbox and the courier just puts it on top and my roomies see the label it might be the gossip for a week or two

i worked as a dishwasher when i was younger. the first few days i was looking at every half finished dish which came into the kitchen and i'd think to myself, "oh wow they didn't touch the $20 risotto" and "ew there's lipstick over the cup rim". by the end of the week i was scooping everything into the bin by hand not even looking at the food and cleaning the cups robotically
i don't know how much you care about this, but for the mailman you're just another address they need to deliver to and all the orders meld together
>>
>>107803469
If they sell a bunch of different seemingly unrelated things they definitely are.
If not, they still might be.
If their store focus on one particular range of products (from the same manufacturer, or serves one particular niche hobby for example), they might not be.

What's up with the SO-DIMM adapters on Aliexpress? They only allow you to order one. I checked multiple listings. It wasn't like this a couple of days ago.
>>
>>107803902
I remember when I had some ddr3 sodimms sticks lying around, looked up these adapters and they cost as much as normal ddr3 sticks.
These things were never cheap.
>>
>>107803978
Yeah but it's worth it now if you already have the SO-DIMMs. 4 adapters is like 30 bucks but 4 sticks is 250-500 even for the worst RAM.
>>

is there more to them than just a bunch of wirings?

Anyone used these? Will I get microplastic cancer from them?

Was thinking about oatmeal/cereal maxxing for breakfast and using these.

Should I use something else?
>>
>>107806003
The rules all gtards follow are, don't buy chinky stuff that you put directly into the wall or things that comes in contact with your mouth or food.
>>
>>107806003
You'll get microplastics in your food from them.
This isn't because chinese plastics are worse, it's an inevitable side effect of using plastic in a place like this. Any western brand has the same issue. As to how bad the microplastics are, who knows.
In the end, it's up to anyone individually how much risk they want or don't want.

A way that I use that is healthy, cheap and actually looks good is I refill all my dry foods into jars.
You can get really cheap ones at your local 1€/1$ store or similar. Mine were like 1.5€ each, borosilicate glass, bamboo lid with a small silicone gasket. Looks great, easy to clean, easy to open/close, minimal microplastic exposure. Do get something you can either screw on tight or with that silicone gasket, or you will get a visit by the food moth fairy and then desire to kill yourself. If there are no food moths where you live, first of all, do a quick prayer that that's the case, but I'm sure there's other critters you don't want in your food.

Other than the microplastics issue, these things do what they say, it's just a screw top. If you have a 3D printer you can also 3d print one to test it out. The 3D printed one will have an even worse microplastics issue than the ali one, but it'll be cheap and you can evaluate if you actually like using them. You can also choose which microplastics your food gets via the filament, not that any of them will be good for you.

what's the point? everything is stored and sold in plastic.
>>
I bought I a thing during the holiday sales from a choice store that was cheaper than every other listing, including an extra feature that costs a bit more. I'm the only sale for that listing. Everyone else is going with the other listings. By now it has gone up by $20 too. Makes me wonder if it was a personalized sale based on my gbp.
>>
>>107807324
>I'm the only sale for that listing.
Keep in mind that as the first purchase you have the fate of that listing in your hands, you possess the power to murder their store with a 1star review or to enable more purchases of that item with a 5star review.
>>
>>107807291
It marginally reduces microplastics exposure I suppose, but frankly that has nothing to do with why I do it.
Simply put it looks better and is easier to use.
Dry stuff in a bunch of glass jars = cozy cottage look
Dry stuff in a bunch of plastic bags = messy person who lost control of their life
At least that's my association.
>>
all the chinkshit i bought made me good at electronics, but what can i use it for, flipping?
>>
>>107806860
There isn't.
Hell, improperly managed batteries are far more of a danger than chinckshit pluged into an outlet with a breaker/gfci.

>>107807521
I use it for the rare once a year or less occasion that I need to repair something. At least that's been my experience. Otherwise I fantasize about post-apocalyptic scenarios where I can Tony Stark something in the nuclear fallout caves.
