What does /g/ think about generating 6 fake frames for every real frame?
Your GPU just needs to render at 9FPS for you to be able to get above a full playable 60FPS.

It adds latency when you were already at high latency anyways.

Redundant technology. You need the GPU power for high performance and there's no way around it

Frame generation is only for rich people. You need 60fps base. Fucking idiot

Consoomers only care about FPS.
So NVIDIA gave them more FPS.
I think it's horseshit but if I know gamers, gamers will eat that shit up and ask for more until they are seeing '480 FPS' in a game on their 60 Hz monitor.

Math?

1000/9=111ms latency
What could possibly go wrong

This is clearly targeted for >60hz displays. With traditional polygon+shader pipelines, there is no way we will ever see the dream of 1000hz without framegen.

Obviously, this doesn't change the game logic framerate.

T-thanks NVIDIA

With latency that bad you need to start predicting user input like they're playing across the Atlantic.
