>>107791654
That'll be 13,000 USD, goyim. Or you can have a 3060 with 8gb...I mean 2gb ram for 999. Maybe try our streaming service? Stupid goyim
>>
They call it Rubin because a you have to be a rube to think they are worth it.
>>
Can't wait to buy a 6090 and sell my 5090 for a profit
>>
>>107791654
does anyone even buy new gpus? if so why? just use an older card like 20 series, nothing worthwhile you do can go over it anyways
>>
>>107791986
same
hope my 5090 investment was worth it.
worst case I paid 300 to use one for year.
>>
is this 3 or 2nm?
blackwell was 4 right?
>>
Fucking lol, the transistor increase is so fucking bad, legitimately the worst node shrink in history
>>
>>107791654
>1.6x transistors
how?
isn't this only 3nm? so it's only 1nm smaller than blackwell how can they fit so much more in this?
>>
>>107792002
we’re not all indians like you anon
>>
>>107792011
5090 might be the last attainable consumer enthusiast gaming card ever made
>>
>>107792085
anything is possible when you're willing to blow up die area, cram more TDP, crush yield and skyrocket price i guess
>>
>>107792111
Funny I thought that about the 3090ti and 4090 now here we are
I bailed on Nvidia since that dogshit 2080ti
>>
>>107791654
>>107791694
Rubin is a jewish name btw
>>
>>107792111
perfect.
that means it will be ultra valuable
>>107792164
>blow up die area
oh yeah just like they did with the 5090.
>>
>>107792085
nigger that's the least impressive shrink in a while
3000 to 4000 was 2.8x, 2000 to 3000 was 1.8x, 900 to 1000 was 1.9x, 500 to 600 was 2.1x
>>
>>107791654
Last gen I buy for a while. Hoping this releases and I can snag one before China invades Taiwan. Maybe I'll get 2 just in case lmao.
>>
>>107792102
There's not that much poojeets on 4shill. Most of the advertisement & fake engagement on /g/ is spammed by chinkjeets.
I know it's confusing because they're all jeets, in the end. But there's a slight political difference.

Not only do I deserve 4K, I need it too!
>>
>>107792240
>3000 to 4000 was 2.8x
that jump makes sense since they halfed the size from 8nm to 4nm so a lot of room for transistors. but I guess they also made the die bigger for the extra 0.8x?
>>

RTX 3090 628.4 mm2
RTX 4090 608.5 mm2
RTX 5090 750 mm2
>>
>>107791654
Nope, this will not have a Geforce release. This is the replacement for Hopper (professional/datacneter only). You will have to wait for Feynman for a Geforce release. That's assuming Nvidia is feeling generous and the AI/ML bubble hasn't gone nuclear.
>>
>>107791668
You absolutely suck at impersonating a jew. They would try to get the most money, not try to gatekeep the goym to cheaper alternatives.

meh the performance increases are mostly coming from the networking and the GPUs being able to access 16TB of HBM each over the network in addition to the 1TB they have on device

I don't see much major gains for the regular discrete RTX gains happening. 20% max.
>>
>>107791654
Will we see any Consumer Electronics at CES this year?
>>
>>107792085
>>107792240
>>107792549
this fag is right >>107792805 , those numbers are not density numbers. nm are more a marketing term than actual tech, transistors are not that small, is somewhat equivalent to transistor density, but still misleading
>>
>>107791668
>streaming service

horizontally rolling screen on the Legion gayming laptop I guess?
It is something.
>>
>>107793409
If all TSMC does is stacking 25 years old transistor differently, why couldn't Intel fab figure that out?
>>
>>107793587
TSMC has still better tollerances, bc nm marketing term is related to tolerances, but is not that direct of a relationship as one would hope
>>

>>

>>
>>107791694
It's because they are Rubin hands at the stupid goyim paying 10k for a GPUs to play upscaled slop
>>
>>107791694
They call it rubin becauae they be rubin you
>>
>>107793857
rubin what
my peanus weanus :D?
>>
im gonna buy it on release day
>>
>>107791654
Read the fucking slide. Does any of that shit read like a gaming GPU to you? No it's a new AI card.
>>
>>107794081
anon..
>>
>>107794081
they're describing the GB202 equivalent of Rubin. that die will end up being used in the 6090
>>
>>107794116
>>107794129
You should look at the slide again. There is no 6090 coming.
>>
>>107794162
ah i thought you were retarded but you're just a troll, my bad
>>
>>107794169
This anon >>107794162 is correct. Why would they make a 6090. Even the shitty bin of Rubin's GB202 will be an RTX Pro and marked up a shit ton. If there is a 6090, it will probably be Rubin's GB203.
>>
Would it be worth upgrading from 4090?
>>
>>107794290
that makes zero sense. the shortage is on the memory side. they will will use largest die for the 6090 but release it with much less VRAM compared to the prosumer SKUs, as usual
>>
>>107791668
Damn, I want to upgrade
>>
>>107794317
The game is to snag a new gpu and sell your old one for profit while there's a shortage and consoomers think they need a gpu that moment.
>>
>>107796364
Like what, GPU speculation? A quick look on the 2nd hand market and I see used 4090s going for like half the price of a new 5090.
>>
>>107792085
They keep growing die size which is one of the reason for the higher prices
>>
>>107796435
yesterday I saw on ebay a 3 year old used MSI Gaming trio 4090 sold for basically msrp.
during the release of the 5090 when nothing was available used 4090s sold for even more.

for the 5090
best case you make like $200-$300 profit.
neutral you make atleast back what you spend on the card.
worst case you lose like $200-300 so you kinda did a leasing on the card which is still ok.

Not for your eyes, sorry. I believe we've already established that from now on consumer products will remain 2 generations behind AI-grade ones.

>>
>>107791986
>>107792011
How do you do it without getting scammed or beaten and robbed in an alley..? I'm anti social schizo and I'm scared to sell my 5090 because they'll scam me somehow
>>
>>107796732
Most police/sheriff offices offer an area to make exchanges in a monitored area, at least near me. So local listing and only meet there.
>>
>>107796669
this whole system only really applies to the high end cards since
>they're expensive
>rare, low production numbers compared to the cheaper ones
>have more vram
>no competition
>>
>>107791668
>22TB/s
>3.6TB/s through nvlink
its worth 13k. eaaaasily

im currently picking up my jaw from the ground as we speak

but lets not kid ourselves, theyre gonna sell this shit for 50k a piece
>>
>>107791654
wtf even is this chart? lmao
shouldn't the "Blackwell" text be above the comparing data?
nvidia and it's fucking confused charts again.
multi trilion dollar company btw.
>>
>>107797448
Technically its a table and its all bullshit anyways. Transistor count increase over last gen is the only real info and its just as underwhelming as it seems.
>>
>>107797799
you sure?
they cant do this shit with hard values like "memory bandwidth" and "nvlink bandwidth"
these are hard technical metrics.
by memory bandwidth, they could be meaning l1 cache, but then the nvlink wouldnt be that high

they could even argue they had to do this because of le price of expensive memory.
