>use actual correct punctuation since forever>constantly get accused of using chatgpt in recent yearsFuck this. Can't even write an email anymore without dumbing it down.
>>107793450its why in casual conversation i type like a fuckin clowneven before the slop pushers crammed "ai" down our throats id get accused of overrelying on spellcheck because i know how to use a fucking semicolon
>>107793471>i know how to use a fucking semicolonwhen in doubt, I just put one at the end of each line;old programmer's habit;return(post);
>>107793490>return(post);
>>107793450Stop talking to iPhone toddlers.Problem: solved!
>>107793450I stopped capitalizing a lot of words in the last year or so when I realized it was stupid.personally I don't see the point of question marks since you can tell a question by the way that it is.if I had it my way I would be spelling totally phonetically and not even use redundant letters in the alphabet.most spelling rules were created by pedantic retards who wanted english to have latin rules.
>>107793490kek; lol I do that too
>>107793450Doesn’t ai already do casual lingo/punctuation too? But no hopefully people will interact more off the internet because it’s all fake and gay
Just end every sentence with nigger, nigger.
>>107796341grok can say nigger, that means nothing
>>107796379It's over, nigger.
>>107793450Let them accuse you and tell them to prove it while ignoring all subsequent follow ups. Stop giving a shit about approval and judgment and just do what you need to do. Life becomes so insanely simple when you embrace this mentality and eventually people stop bothering to challenge you because they know it's a literal waste of time.
>>107794492One word sentences.Time! Time?Fire? Fire!Zoomers gtfo. Go be illiterates who use hieroglyphics away from me.
>>107793450just write everything in long run on sentences with no punctuation and no capitalization not even commas or hyphens or apostrophes should be used and go on endlessly heck try to make an entire sport out of it to see how they like it possibly one day prompting the realization that punctuation is in fact actually important and its use was developed organically for a very good reason because it is tiresome not to mention confusing to read anything written in that manner although really zoomers probably dont care or wouldn't notice in the first place or better still actually copy long winded chat GPT replies in absurd phd level white paper voiced formality and persistently deny that's what you're doing instead tell them that you've decided that you no longer want to dumb down your replies because it makes you feel stupid
>>107794492>most spelling rules were created by pedantic retards who wanted english to have latin rules.We should go back to Anglo-Saxon runes desu.Also with The Great Vowel Shift and other pronunciation changes, written English ended up looking even more retarded.
>>107793450Just call them an illiterate subhuman and move on. I'm not going to dumb myself down because single digit IQ amoebae are otherwise going to accuse me of using AI.
>>107793450I learned all propper punctuation marks in design school. Like – ‘’“” • … «»˚Now everybody think that I write with chatgpt and I need to write like a moron again.
>>107793450As someone who still uses forums, this is especially annoying. I think this is a culture problem from chat rooms such as Discord which encourage you to write things as quickly and as lazily as possible.Or it's a symptom of the ongoing ooga booga-fication of language and culture.
the best way to spot ai text is if it keeps on repeating the same thing over and over again without ever getting to the point, it likes to repeat the same thing twice right in a row without concluding
>>107798730decorum is for retards that have to supplement their lack of intelligence with superficial distractionsits the mental version of a colouring book, give it to a retard and he will be busy for hours
>>107798755Is this the Americans way of coping with the fact they read and write on a 4th grade level? Or is it because the Americans who look like they don't are only trying to obfuscate the fact they still think on a 4th grade level?
>>107798816im not american and neither do i read, write or think on a 4th grade levelin fact, i never even went to school
I take it as a compliment. My English used to be much worse than it is, but now I get compared to "formal" looking text.
>>107793450I've stopped correcting the little mistakes when typing fast just to make sure nobody can accuse me of just that.
>>107798907>in fact, i never even went to schoolThat could already be inferred from the post, but we just needed to be sure.
Leave it to foreigners to make proper grammar and spelling a cryme.
>>107799059whos "we" here? you and the voices?its alright, you can tell meim not ableist
>>107799081Everyone who is reading this thread, obviously. That's called an abstraction.
>>107799103why are you speaking for them? do you feel the need to? are they asking you?
>>107799136I'm one of the voices that guy hears ama I guess
>>107799152what kind of music do you like? ya like jazz?
I used to struggle with similar because I've always tried to write with proper spelling and grammar even in text. Before AI it was that I sounded old. So then I did change the way I typed and made it less formal. Then I realised I don't really give a shit what people think about how I type and just typed how I wanted. A part of me just enjoys writing and it's more engaging when you take care to write properly. I find you're more considered with what you write too.I don't see the need to deprive myself of that for the sake of others.
>>107793450I hate them for ruining em-dashes. I fucking memorized the alt code goddamn it.
>>107793450imagine losing to illiterate pleb, all of your efforts have been in vain lol that must sting
>>107799175>ya like jazz?Only if you're a bee.
I hate having to dumb down communication on purpose. I had to draft a recommendation for someone and they called 'imbue' a 'dictionary word'. I've come to realize it's easier to stereotype people and just talk with them in lowest-common-denominator terms.
>>107793450ChatGPT wouldnt use a pic of francine so you passed
>>107799963>picFailed
>>107793450>>constantly get accused of using chatgpt in recent yearsSo what? I use Whisper for speech-to-text, which GPT used at one point (or still uses, idk).
