I'm going to explain again why fedora is not the best:
- It doesn't have the latest stable versions.
- It doesn't have AUR or anything equivalent. You must rely on flatpaks to get some software.
- Packages are not vanilla, they have unwanted modifications.
- Configuration is through tools made by Fedora that are often not very good.
- It can't mix application versions, meaning two versions of the same application.
- Updates are not atomic. Failed in the middle, you have a broken system.
- Fedora is a stupid name.

Is Fedora bad? No, it's good to start. However it's not really a good choice if you know what you're doing. You can only really be confident your system is solid with Arch or NixOS, anything is limited by whatever the distro told you to do.

I'm saying even at the third party level, the GNOME native apps are all basically just school projects. It's not serious. It's why Linux has basically no market share. It's the default on almost everything and it sucks dick and it has no apps, except for the ones built with different libraries which don't fit in on it. Arch linux is only for x86_64, 30 people making scripts and hardly ever managing infrastructure, Valve got fed up with their shitty signing package they had to give them one and then Arch got wet thinking they were on the same level as Valve, absent from giving news to users, relying on everyone with the AUR and a wiki, having no working isos ootb, thinking having a setup script is the achievement of the century, still adopting anything Fedora pushes first, with a shitty packaging policy.
Literally all distros can have an arch-like setup experience. Any distro has a base, minimal iso where you can start installing shit, while also having working ISOS ootb and supporting most architectures, with a good package selection.

I have been using Gentoo GNU/Linux ever since I had to jump off of Windows 7, and I will never use anything else.

I do use KDE. Plasma's the only thing that can handle my monitor setup atm and I need a particular deb pkg for my autism so I use Kubuntu. My only gripe with it is that they keep updating my pkg to the main branch without my permission.

Im just now getting up to speed on the Atomic desktop versions of Fedora. It sounds interesting and I would like to give it a try but I noticed it doesnt seem to play well with dual booting on a shared disked. The issue for me was mainly getting the scaling on the monitors so windows were the same size when moving them between monitors.
