Have you read what I said? My Dell Latitude 7490 last for 5-6 hours before which coincides with real world testing in 3rd-party reviews. I only get 3-4 hours now with windows.

Im asking again, not expecting much but i dont know what else to do. I installed windows 10 IoT LTSC and windows update seems to be broken, ive ran sfc /scannow, i have enough space in my drives, ive ran the troubleshooter, ive typed the error code into google and attempted multiple fixes, im starting to worry its a hardware issue, but my games run fine, and that in theory should be harder for my pc to do... i dunno, im sorry for asking to be spoonfed but im not sure what to do. I should mention, the computer is working, in the sense that it turns on and runs the apps i want to run, its just windows update that refuses to work

You probably have a lot of crap/bloatware loaded, take a look at all the stuff starting up with something like autoruns from sysinternals (can get Sysinternals Suite in the store if you use that or just download from official sources) and have a look in your task scheduler to see what might be running that is bloat. Also you can use resource monitor to see what is going on.

Left my PC on for a bit, then came back to only the backlight of the monitor turned on. I wiggled the mouse and saw picrel. So far I've tried every single option just to get "error we/you can't do this".

i'd say it's not likely that it was the SSD since you usually notice slowdowns and weird behavior before it dies, but if you believe that it's the case, then backup anything important before proceeding. You could use hiren's boot CD or a linux live distro to access your drive. Hiren's has crystal disk info in case you want to check the SMART data of your drive

If you can't even access Safe Mode, you could try repairing your install with a USB with the Windows iso.

Best ways to run Steam and Galaxy on 7 nowadays? I can figure out installing and old version of Steam that still works, but I would like to know if and how I can use Steamcmd (or something based on it) to just install, update and play my library. From what I can read, it seems Galaxy 1.2 still works for installing and updating, I just haven't found where I can find a good version to install. Offline installers would still work for me, but I do like the option for keeping things up to date from time to time. Bit of a stretch, but has anybody figured out client alternatives for them yet?
