Unless employers are demanding Net+, just go Cisco. Comptia is all vendor neutral theory. Cisco covers the same material + real skills in their ecosystem. Old gear is cheap, doing config/tshoot in a home lab will help tough concepts make sense a lot easier and makes good resume filler. If you're NEET cramming, CCNA is possible in a month or two.

Then go Sec+. It was much easier than CCNA, but it would've been a struggle without knowing network basics. I passed in under two weeks just watching Messer's youtube course.

That was right before Xmas. Then dead silence. Right before NYE they call me telling me that the holidays delayed some stuff and for me to hang tight. Sure.

If you still have hope in your heart then you should consider something closer that gives less hours just so that you have more time to study / apply for jobs. That being said if you're in a lot of debt I would still take that job.

People pass with packet tracer alone but IIRC there were some quirks you have to account for that can make troubleshooting a lil weird. If you're a total noob, it'll be more helpful to get the real stuff.
2 routers, 2 switches for a basic collapsed core design should be plenty. Buy local on marketplace, craigslist, etc for the best prices. You'll prob need a console cable, usb>serial adapter, cable crimping kit and wire, too. Learning to make cables is a right of passage and a skill you'll never forget, much like riding a bike.
