>>107802167I like miatas, I had a 2020 2 years ago. What's an ECU?
>>107804528Electronic Control Unit. Basically a dedicated computer/microcontroller box that regulates the performance of the engine. Based on the engine RPM and throttle position it decides how much fuel to inject into the combustion chambers. It does that essentially via a lookup table calibrated from the factory. When you put a turbocharger (or a bigger than stock turbo) on a car, you need to adjust that lookup table to get optimal performance out of your engine. The turbo can cram more air into the engine, which means it can burn more fuel and make more power when you're flooring it, and it doesn't need as much fuel to make a little bit of power when you're cruising.
>>107804510Your "glorious nippon steel" was designed by a white American, Bob Hall, who envisioned it to be a platform which could be modified.
>>107802167my NC is at ND power anyway, so never saw the point of downgrading>>107802509you can't have standalone ECUs? more like land of the proprietary.
