I noticed stupid ddos attacks, even for sites where it doesn't make sense, like archives. Could it be that cloudflare conducts them themselves, so people use their shitty captcha service? It's literally EVERYWHERE, they had to achieve that somehow.

It's the old protection money trick the mafia did. Attack random shops at night and then come in the next morning and offer security against vandalism and violence.
>>
>>107804401
Cloudflare is probably a government OP, and it would make sense to use DDoS attacks to force website owners to use cloudflare.
There's no proof at all though so it may as well be schizo babble.
>>
>>107804401
>Could it be that cloudflare conducts them themselves, so people use their shitty captcha service?
I wouldn't put it past them. Those scumbags are up to all sorts of shady shit, so that would totally fit in. Every site seems to be infested with Cloudflare, including this one. So many sites, all Cloudflare, break with many browsers. Cloudflare needs to go!
>>
>>107804401
theyre already using cloudflare those are cloudflare logs
>>
ddos is a dark web tactic to extort websites on the clear web.
>>

I never got the cloudflare captcha on 4plebs

Cloudflare can be used as simple CDN with reverse-proxy, but depending on the website settings and how much your IP and fingerprint is "trusted" by cloudflare, you may get a captcha randomly. They even say they have an "AI labyrinth" as bot trap, but I never experienced it.
>>
>>107805056
Yeah but the service they are using is server based, I'm only concerned with the client side cancer
>>
archives are gay anyway
>>
>>107804401
of course it is, all that hw sitting unused doesn't generate profit, random blogs getting ddosed is just 'oopsie, local hooligans broke your window, imagine if they set fire to your store, it's worth buying protection' scam of internet era
>>
>>107805523
also could be alphabet agencies, to set up cf waf you have to allow them to mitm you, so all that https/tls protection disappears as they can get all the info they want from cf skipping the site owner, if site is behind cf means three letter agencies have all your communication in plaintext in palantir, we need next snowden for ppl to finally realize how cf got so big so fast

>DDoS attacks
>so people use their shitty captcha service?
It's amazing how tech illiterate people manage to find 4chan let alone post a thread. 4chan using Captcha has nothing to do with DDoS attacks. Holy fucking shit. Gook moot could do away with captchas and it would still get DDoS protection since the site is served through cloudflare cdns
>>
>>107805735
Holy Dunning-Kruger
>>
>>107805735
The cloudflare turnstile is called a captcha. Why do you think they fucking have it?
>>
>>107805910
yeah their super advanced bot detection that keeps blocking iceweasel/palemoon or even normal ff linux users, gotta wonder if they are just a bunch of pajeets or they specifically push you to vulnerable versions of browsers (with latest and greatest and buggiest versions of new additions to abuse) for a reason, how dare you use 2 year old build of xyz, it didn't even implement the latest cve
>>
>>107804799
Some of that traffic does still make it through to them though. Cloudflare is pretty shitty and can't stop everything.
>>
>>107805987
A 2 year old build of a browser is likely full of known CVE and someone unknown ones too.
You make no sense.
>>
>>107806024
You misunderstand what he's saying. He's saying Cloudflare allows older versions of Firefox but will sometimes block newer Firefox for no reason.

I compile my own Firefox Nightly from source sometimes get hit by this. I would hypothesise it's because they're tracking and fingerprinting everything and when they see a new browser fingerprint for the first time they default to blocking it or aggressively filtering it and forcing captchas everywhere.
>>
>>107806024
not really, lts ff from 2 years ago is pretty safe, then you jump on the latest 3d.xyz feature is now enabled by default and buggy as hell and all exploit campaigns through ad networks use the latest zero days (old exploits get detected), the old and 'vulnerable' lts is safe, your latest is not until x.y+5 versions, enjoy getting pwned thanks to newest bs googol pushes (see jpgxl and similar, older browser with 0 support for that shit ended being more secure)
>>
>>107805987
I was blocked from posting for a year because the turnstile simply crashed (as it reported in the web console), I will likely get blocked by cloudflare again whenever they next update the turnstile to be less permissive
>>
>>107806031
this too, but they literally force ppl onto newer versions with often new features that are not yet well tested, can't remember now exact details but there was a css or some other new google pushed feature thay made all browsers newer than 105(?) vulnerable up to 100.10 as they enabled it by default then, 99 and below all safe, gee whiz, why not just tell all 99 and below their browser is too old to use internet and call them bots, noone will do anyhing anyway kek
>>
>>107804401
>Could it be that cloudflare conducts them themselves, so people use their shitty captcha service?
It could be, and it could also be aliens, or the government, or the voices in your head. But more likely it's just retarded skids, like it was for the 20 years before cloudflare existed.
>>
>>107806294
yeah bro random skids pay money to botfarms to launch a 24 ddos for no reason. makes sense you retarded faggot.

before cloudflare existed only major websites for personal reasons or monetary reasons got attacked. nobody went to a random fucking blog and suddenly did a coordinated ddos for no reason.

the jeets/bots/tranny/paid shills on this website are so fucking stupid.
>haha you're crazy. trust the government citizen. be normal. nobody ever does bad things except the designated bad guy i point at.

There's this retard who's been paying to shill his SoundCloud here for 8 years now he's spent thousands of dollars on this and he is mentally ill and permanently unemployed you really underestimate the kind of retard that lurks these sites. Maybe he got banned too much or has some retarded crusade there's also that pedo with residential proxies

This is definitely some faggot with an autistic grudge
>>
>>107806473
This. DDoS costs money, and even if you own a botnet yourself you're wasting opportunity cost targeting random shit. It's definitely one hand washing the other or one hand washing itself here.

>even for sites where it doesn't make sense, like archives.

>both sides are bad. but make sure to listen to the government and give the benefit of the doubt to a corporation
you aren't fooling anybody you retard piece of shit.
>>
>>107805056
how do they even detect bots by just requiring them to click a stupid checkbox ?
>>
>>107807328
What's with all this schizo greentext? Where did I say any of this? I would totally believe that US government actors are forcing websites to use cloudflare by DDoSing them.
>>
>>107807343
The checkbox is supposed to stop the bots. The dumb thing is that browsers support cloudflare in certain ways. This leads to the situation that hacked versions of selenium and other bot-browsers can bypass it relatively easy, while a human using a proper browser can't.
>>
People don't understand how fucking easy it is to ddos shit these days.

There are literally booter services that even 13 year olds can use to ddos some guy that pissed them off in an online game for like 5 bucks
>>
>bots, ai scrapers, shitholes like the sharty exist

Also, election tourists and spammers hate the archives because

>archives prove an image or thread has already been reposted repeatedly

so your body doesnt notice that youre pumping recylcled piss instead of blood

While this probably never happened (except with one rogue company), you have to know that there's a very important black market (or grey market) of zero days. These don't just have criminals as customers, but state actors too. You can imagine what sums of money are exchanged for zero-days that are still unknown to the public. It wouldn't be crazy to think that some of these security companies get paid off for keeping valuable zero-days secret, or even to sell zero-days to interested parties.
