This is genuinely one of the worst phone have ever used and I got it for free. Stay away from google products. Sold it on ebay for nothing I dont even want it in my possession. >Dropped once with a rubber case, shitty back glass cracked even with it on>Overheats and lags when charging, when playing videos the back gets hot, screen dims>Feels like a phone from 2012 with its performance. Some of the worst performance I have seen on a smartphone in browsing load times and video playback>Snapdragon even fucking mediatek budget chips are faster and better than googles shitty tensor unoptimized chipJust stay away from pixels. They are garbage.
>>107806261The only reason to get a Pixel is GrapheneOS
>>107806261My Pixel 9 Pro XL is easily the best phone I've ever owned which includes everything from iPhones to flagship Samsungs, Sony, Motorola and such.
>>107806261Hey you just described my experience with a shitty iPhone 14 that I have to use for work. Literally all the same issues.
>>107806839>includes everything from ... Sonyeven a headphone jack?
>>107806261Used to daily a Pixel 7Thought the performance was pretty disappointing for a flagship. I couldn't emulate several PS2 games in their native resolution before I started getting frame drops. It did have a pretty good camera and Graphene was the best way to use Android.
>>107806261Kinda crazy, my Pixel 6a has been going strong for over 3 years. Only real complaint is the dodgy fingerprint reader. Hard to believe the next model is so much worse.
>>107806261no where near as bad as an iphone
>>107806261>>107809783I'm not a faggot gaymer who games on my phones. I use my phone for work, pictures, and to surf the internet. Pixels are perfect for that. I'm really excited for the pixel 11 as Google revealed they won't be changing the design from the 10 which means the 11 is really an engineering refresh with a refined soc and a new modem. It's going to be a stellar phone.
>>107806839I got a 9 Pro XL as well. Its the worst android experience I've had to date. Not terrible mind you, as those before have been quite good. I've has six android phones before, and this is the first one that feels like a downgrade. To be fair, it's also a bit cheaper than the xperia 1 II I had before, but 4 years younger too. The battery life is terrible, and there's a buch of all sort of little niggles, like randomly dropping wifi/bt, refusing to tether to my old laptop etc. I'm not too disappointed thoughl, 'cos I kinda knew what I was getting into, google is more of software company anyway. I mostly got it due to curiosity about vanilla android, and potentially testing graphene
>>107806261Pixel 7a battery started to leak poison fumes and Google knew about it but remained silent, I could have died.
>>107806358>GayphagOS >GraphmemeOS No thanks I'm not gay
>>107809783>>107810155GayphagOS shills are gaaaaaayyy
Have been using the 8pro for almost two years and tend to agree. It's my first flagship as all my previous smartphones were entry level. This really does not feel like big step above those. I suppose the camera is pretty good all things considered, but I'm of the opinion that you should not rely on a phone if you actually care about photography/videos that much because real cameras will always triumph over this fake processing shit. Also yes the phone is just not durable at all. Dropped it on the floor while taking a shit and half the screen was completely dead, I couldn't even unlock it. Luckily it still had stock android so I could send it to the repair service free of charge, but I would've been so pissed if I had installed graphene.Imo the a-series is justifiable for the price, but when it comes to flagships there is no reason to buy this other than graphene. I honestly stopped caring about privacy that much, I should've just gone with a sony.
>>107806862Let me guess, you've 'upgraded' to iOS26?
i paid like £250 for my pixel 8 and it's okay for that price but this is the only phone i've ever owned where the oleophobic coating on the screen has been dissolved in places caused i was cooking and some hot oil droplets landed on it
>>107806261pixels are reddit phones for those that have no money for iphone.
>>107806261I got a 4a, it was unusable trash within a year, never getting another pixel
>vgh is that a phone that isn't a Zhia LingLing 13XL Pro Elite 512GB? Bruh that thing only has 8 cores and 12gb ram... Can't even charge within 10 minutes and the screen is smaller than 7.5"? How do you even watch anime and play videogames at the same time on the toilet???
>>107810247Having a phone camera that outputs decent resolution (not megapixel) images with a good natural look is every photographers dream. Rule #1 of photography is "the one you have with you"
I bought a Pixel 9a for cheap last week and even though it's a tad bigger than older pixel models I'm still very happy with it. Not everyone cares about emulating videogames on their phone or watching Chinese cartoons on the go.
I'm happy with my 7ait runs GOS good and can't think of any frustrations with it...
>>107812805>Chinese cartoonsare these even a thing?
>>107813321Yeah, even normies watch anime now.
>>107806261owned a pixel 6 pro for 4 years now and no issues. sounds like a you problem
>>107806839same. but Im on the pixel 6 pro and that still better than every phone out there. Google lens, and the AI serach through photos that just finds them based on description of the image is better than any other out there.
>>107806261Been using my rooted lineageos p7 pro for over a year now. Main thing i hate is the curved screen I buyeded it for 400 off ebay. Good deal since its the 512gb version.
I got a Google Pixel 9a during black Friday because I wanted to use GrapheneOS. I actually like it, it's a lot faster than my previous device which was an old midrange Samsung (A series). Sure pixels aren't particularly powerful but that's not the point, not everyone plays Genshin Impact or whatever on their phone. The few games I do play are emulated GBA, SNES and PSP games and I haven't experienced any problems so far.
>>107806261>Overheats and lags when charging, when playing videos the back gets hot, screen dimstheir tensor socs perform like 2019 flagship socs despite being built on the latest and greatest process node. im not sure what kind of curryniggers they're hiring to design these things
I use a pixel 7 and its fineMight be a problem with the user
i used 7a for couple of weeks and the display pwm flicker was the worst i had ever seen. unusable.
>>107812535IOS sucks tho. Imagine having to use an exploit just so you can sideload apps without having to set up a server. What kind of faggots think these pieces of shit are worth even a fraction of the price?
>>107813433>Samsung (A series)That shit makes any other phones feel like an improvement.
>>107813461SAAR LOW PWM IS GOOD FOR YOU
>>107810180>>107810194Sure is glowie in here
>>107813467adults with serious jobs and responsibilities
>>107813321Attack on Titan, Bleach, Boku no paedo, Dragon Ball Z, etc
>>107806261Have a pixel phone now.Had a s23 before.>put grapheme os on it.>like it.But shit I wish there was a back button instead of having to swipe the screen.Plus the keyboard is smaller and I already couldn't type worth a shit on my s23.
>>107810014>I'm not a faggot, but a normalfaggotWhat did he mean by this?
>>107813321xianxia themed 3dsgi UE4 Chinese cartoons are getting more popular every year
>>107806261What alternative there is? I don't want to change phone when they make it work like shit with the EOS system update and it's AI or not features feel actually useful. I don't gaym on phone anyway.
>>107806261>stay away from Google productsI learned this lesson the hard way using a Pixel 3 XL and the accompanying Pixel Buds 2 that came with it. I also had a Pixelbook. None of it worked as intended, nothing ever worked right. Each and every hardware product I owned that had Google's logo on it was broken out of the box in at least 5 separate ways. Good designs - I still think Pixelbuds were the most comfortable wireless earbuds I ever wore - but nothing ever fucking worked. Lost a shitload of money on that.
>>107806261last time I used a pixel was 2018. couldn't ram management was overly aggressive and would close every app I looked away from for even a sdcond. if you opened another app while listening to music, the music would stop. it had a great camera but that didn't matter because if you opened the camera the phone would start bootlooping. god awful device.
>>107818418oh yeah and the battery never lasted more than 4 hours of active use despite being an XL phone. called google about all this and they said it was normal lmao
>good enough screen>good enough camera>barely enough battery>ok size>best minimalist OSIDK man, I have a Pixel 6 since its release in 2021 and it has been decent>>107806261>Dropped once with a rubber case, shitty back glass cracked even with it onPhones made out of glass are retarded, agreed>Overheats and lags when charging, when playing videos the back gets hot, screen dimsMine plays videos just fine, but all phones I've ever handled heat up if you use them while charging>Feels like a phone from 2012 with its performance. Some of the worst performance I have seen on a smartphone in browsing load times and video playback>Snapdragon even fucking mediatek budget chips are faster and better than googles shitty tensor unoptimized chipYes, it's a "flagship" phone but Google's chip is literally mid range tier or less in terms of performance - it's not a lack of optimization, it's their deliberate choice. Mine doesn't lag when browsing or playing video though, what the fuck. It should only be slow compared to other flagship phones if you're hammering its cpu & gpu. When it breaks I'll probably just get a Pixel 12 or whatever
