Anyone else exhausted with AI fatigue? I used to be pretty pro-generative AI four years ago but now I'm just about done. I was planning to move from AM4 to AM5 with DDR5 RAM but that's pretty much out of the picture now. Why don't they team up with Microsoft to launch "Copilot Make RAM Cheaper" instead?

They are pushing so hard to hide that it has plateaued and everyone’s 401k is leveraged for it to keep going up forever. The bubble popping makes everyone’s paper wealth disappear and they quit buying shit. We’re in a depression because they have created yet another boom and bust with their paper scrip. It doesn’t affect Altman types because they have been selling you shares to quietly hoard gold.

There's always something, it's weird. There was also an extreme push towards 3D (movies, TVs, phones) and also VR has been unsuccessfully pushed for a long time too. I think it's typically someone's nepobaby that has some idea and the rest of the company has to try and make it happen.
>>
>>107809791
I love this.
It makes it easy for me to know what companies to avoid. Copilot really is helpful.
>>
Why? What is this even for? No seriously, even considering the current AI space, what the fuck even is this???
>>
>>107809810

Microsoft asked for this because the pajeets who run it right now are debilitatingly autistic.
>>
>>107810311
It's probably because the technology is useful elsewhere so they have a reason to develop it but it's either not directly profitable but very useful to powers that be or not currently profitable and ramping up, so they're trying to pawn the costs off onto the average person or make an extra buck.
>>
>>107810475
In all likelihood they're trying to have normies recoup the cost for it as it has uses to them that aren't useful to a regular person. At this point they're shitting themselves that people just aren't interested and the Microslop thing bothering the CEO to the point of nearly crying means things are really bad.

im banned for life from paypal and they never said why
i got an email one day saying i was banned
i didnt even use their service it was out of the blue on an account i forgot i had
i searched to see if this happened to anyone else and this is like what they do for some reason
they say its so they lock your assets for a certain amount of time so they can invest in it then return it to you, they wont respond to your inquiries unless you sue them. but most for most people theres only like 20-50 dollars in the account so it isn't worth it. weird stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Paypal's notorious for this shit, they'll lock accounts and basically steal money from you. iirc they had a leak a while back about the accounts that they were targeting, shit like "White advocacy" was listed alongside literal terrorism.

Fun fact, remember that gamer girl bathwater shit by Belle Delphine? Apparently Paypal stole all the money she made from it.
>>
>>107809981
A user can search for an item in Copilot and 1-click "Buy with Paypal" without ever having to directly go to the merchant's website. Thankfully, it seems merchants need to opt-in, at least at this point.

Not even Microsoft supports using the Microsoft Store.
>In July 2025, Microsoft announced that it would be ending support for Office 365 applications installed through the Microsoft Store. It also made clear that starting in October 2025, they would no longer be delivering new updates or features, with security fixes ending in December 2026. Microsoft Office will still be updated and maintained, but the company will focus on Click-to-Run versions. It's simply easier for the Microsoft development team to maintain one version of the suite and they've chosen the most convenient option — Click-to-Run. Consolidation is nothing new, with Windows 10 nearing its end as Microsoft shifts its focus to Windows 11. Note that the company is still making Windows 10 extended updates free to some users, however.

>Corporations are people, my friend.
Companies, especially large ones, are made up of tons of factions pushing in different directions, and managers each trying to maximize their own benefit, even when it is of negative value to the company. Internal metrics are often very bad at identifying who is actually adding positive value to the company and who is harming it.
Susan the product manager doesn't gave a shit if the product she manages undermines the message some other department on the other side of the org chart is trying to associate with the company. She cares about hitting the targets set by her manager or even manipulating the targets themselves to be aligned with what she's doing. The notion of large corporations being strict hierarchies with clear goals handed down cleanly between levels has a theoretical, almost romantic, appeal to it, but it doesn't reflect the reality of how large entities actually operate.

It's one main symptom of late stage capitalism
Having a honest, sustainable, steady business that stays afloat forever but doesn't grow (like some businesses that have existed for several hundred years and multiple generations in Europe and Japan), isn't enough.
Green line must always go up forever, which obviously isn't sustainable. And companies have been running out of ideas, especially since I believe that tech in general is basically solved and has truly peaked (especially in the consumer space). It's one of the main reasons why creating retarded anti-consumer shit and doubling down on it is becoming more common, while all megacorps keep putting a smug face about it, they're in despair.
Especially because when the AI bubble pops, it could be an event that will finally make the world in general realize this isn't sustainable and cause the whole stock market in general to crash.

When something new comes along every corp with shitloads of money wants to be first in that field so they can dominate 'the next big thing' and make insane money off of it. They invest in it and push it because they hope it catches on and they can get a foot in the door before there's any real competition.

This is exactly what happened with VR and Faceberger. Modern VR started with Oculus, which seemed to have people working there who actually cared about VR and thought it was cool, which is why they were making a headset. Sure, they probably wanted the money too but I think they legitimately thought that what they were making was cool, before selling out that is.

When Faceberger bought Oculus that was EXCLUSIVELY an attempt to build their own "metaverse" walled garden before anybody else, because Zuck thought it was going to be "the next big thing" and he wanted everyone in the "metaverse" to come to them. That's why insane amounts of money were invested even though nobody cared about the garbage they were making.
