on OpenBSD driver & codec support is always worse than linux, but it's probably not an issue for most people
biggest issue i've hit is playing audio over hdmi which isn't doable
on FreeBSD they literally just use linux drivers so it's the same

i like openbsd but there's no denying that it's behind with drivers. i find that my MIDI interface and my USB wifi card doesn't work at all on openbsd
