WHAT'S GOING ON?
AMD just isn't competitive
wow line go up :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD forever :DDDD
>>107824286people are panicking that GPU prices are about to double.
>>107824286usecase for a dedicated gpu if i'm not a gaymer or an ai gooner
>>107824336blender
With Nvidia focusing entirely on AI now AMD could easily have take over the gaming market which would be a big win for them. But instead they also focus on AI where they lose to Nvidia yet again and remain irrelevant.
>>107824355the ceos are cousins, and amd had already said they were withdrawing from flagship gpus
>>107824286From 2019 to 2024 we had endlessly "IF YOU DON'T BUY SHIT NOW YOU'LL NEVER EVER EVER GET IT", and people keep falling for it.
>>107824286I bought one because my gtx 1060 6gb just wasn't enough, the gpu price were at msrp (for fucking once) and i am glad I did seeing the price and gpu price go up again now lol.
>>107824336Parallel pipeline. You can speedup your application 20x by writing it in CUDA or PTX
Still using my 5 year old RTX 3090 and it's still good for everything
>>107824286Yeah sure, "gaming"
>>107824644yep that's what steam is for
windows goyim were forced to upgrade to 11
>>107824336>usecaseAMD X3D and standard iGPU (7700X for example) cant handle anything more than basic output for trouble shootingIntel UHD 770 on 14th gen craps the bed on 4k videosSo you need a dedicated GPU if you just want to see 4k video or high fidelity 2k movies
>>107824286There's tons of rumors that the prices are going to get crypto-hype levels of retarded plus a lot of people going 1000 series -> 3000 series -> 5000 series. The amd cards are all like 100 bucks cheaper for the same or maarginally better raw computing power, but worse in every other regard, so people are still buying Nvidia unless they are broke.
unavailability rule?
>>107824286>Blackwellthat's mainly a data center/generative ai gpu, the same one that nvdia puts in gdx spark. that image seems to be from nvdia, so that last graph is probably a combination of all markets, whereas i'm, guessing the first one specifically refers to consumer grade hardware.
>>107824313imagine panicking about a fucking stupid pointless video game. /g/ is a bunch of losers loooooooooooooooool
>>107824286christ i didn't know ada performed that badly
>>107824286Superintelligence
>>107824313Q2 26.
>>107824355yeah naw, they already tried that, that is basically what rdna was, turns out focusing on gaming only is really fucking stupid, because you cant repurpose it for other workloads, case and point, the radeon vii can run fsr4 better than rdna 2, , which is ridiculous, basically the reason amd is so far behind on the ml upscaling and frame gen , is because they opted to gut all the advanced capabilities in favor of raw raster performance, while nvidia can sell its ewaste silicon to consumers, while selling the highest bins as quadros and compute for >$10k a pop.
>>107832283they saw novideo make bank selling cheap garbage like kepler, maxwell, pascal and figured they can cut their shit down too. just when nvidia switched to more compute
>>107824286The GPU are selling at MSRP
>>107824369>the ceos are cousinsThey are not.>amd had already said they were withdrawing from flagship gpusFor this gen. They obviously want to have a high end competitor but couldn't make it work with RDNA. But we'll have to wait for UDNA next year.
RTX 5050 is pretty good for the price.
>>107824286I can't imagine caring enough about video games to pay the price that some of these cards are going for.If I felt my PC specs were just too far behind in 2026 to play some AAA slop I was drooling over I would just get a fucking console at this point. I'm sure I'd feel differently if I was making $150k+ per year but on anything less than that it is just a retarded use of your disposable income.
>>107824369they withdrew from flagship and high end
>>107836292ok
>>107824286>AI niggers buy RTX 5000s series gpus>gaming. Now, let's check what actually people own.
>>107836360>5070 which has been on sale for less than a year is already in the top 10 on all of steam>5060 and 5070 had the greatest percentage increases yeah that aligns with the insanely fast blackwell adoption
>>107836292own a dirtbike, boats, porsche, and go camping regularly, video games with friends are still by far the best value when it comes to disposable cash spent per hour of enjoyment and it honestly isn't even close
>>107824286>NVIDIA SALES CRAZY Why did everyone buy a Blackwell GPU>WHAT'S GOING ON?On /biz/ this is known as a "sell signal".
>>107836360lmao, nvidia lying again. as always.
>>107836429you are playing post 2015 games? you don't need a good pc for good games because they all run on shit pcs. and paying 2k for new slop is not worth it.>own a dirtbike, boats, porscheoh, you are a homosexual.
>>107836429LOL you made that nigga seethe hard
>>107824290It isn't supposed to be competitive.
