starting from Monday 11. Jan you can change the address of your gmail

https://www.tekniikkatalous.fi/uutiset/a/1f6236bd-2415-4044-91d5-40f4e736afd1

got a mclovin at gmail dot com which you made 15 years ago and are now embarassed to carry it around?

no worry, it can be changed to whatever, but only once. the change then converts other accounts connected to it into being in the know about this change, as far as it is possible to do

anything touched by google can do the conversion but things unrelated to google may not be capable of doing it

example: your youtube account was the gmail, it will convert simultenously to "mynewacc" when google is changed

facebook is capable of doing it aswell

but what about your local bank? most likely not..

technologically speaking
you have forever been able to forward mails from gmail to another and they're free to make anyway

forwarding is not the same as changing the name of the old mail, fag
>>
>>107824454
is the old address still gonna function as an alias that you can send to?
>>
>>107824703
who gives a shit, just make new gmail, forward shit from old mail to it, use new gmail everywhere
better yet host it yourself and give yourself 999 aliases if you wish

nta, but i made my mail like a decade ago with lastname.firstname@gmail cause that was the common format where i lived, then i moved countries and firstname.lastname@gmail is common here and i want to change it, but gmail won't let me register the reverse probably because of anti impersonation rules (i know for a fact it doesn't already exist)

yes this is indeed one of the problems with not being able to change gmail, but now it can be changed to the reverse form, altough only once

sincerely have you considered
a) paying for email service so you can just make your 10 aliases
b) hosting it so you can do whatever the fuck you want
hosting email is not nearly as difficult as it's made out to be
granted one has to not be retarted to do it and it is a bit of config hell (once and then it's done forever)

Kinda is.

Are you retarded?

I don't trust any FAGMAN company not to fuck something up after I change my email.

in eastern europe it's common to do that
