Why does Fedora use so much fucking RAM? I look at other Plasma distros with envy over the fact they use under a gigabyte of memory at idle while Fedora KDE is using like 3 fucking gigs after a cold boot NOT INCLUDING CACHE.

>>107833805thank you op - the screenshot of this thread will be helpful for years.every now and then people ask here: why do you need 32gb of ram?now they know..
>>107833829>detests bloat>installed 32 GB of ram
>>107833829Autism.
>>107833829>I have 32GB of RAM and I notice because I detest bloat & die.More than enough.
>>107833805vibecoded distro
That's what happens when you use JeetHat Saardora
>>107833805If you think Plasma's RAM consumption is bad, don't try Endeavor, it's **atrocious**.
DAMN, OP, that must really suck *braaaaaap*
>>107833829RAM is there to be used, retard. The more you have the more is used.do you also have empty cupboards because putting things inside them would be bloat?
>>107833829>I have 32GB of RAMThat's the problem then. Any properly made OS will reserve as much memory as possible to make the system as responsive as possible. If you want your distro to use less RAM then reduce your RAM down to 8GB.
>>107836239>reserveLike I said in the OP, that's excluding the cache.
>>107833805It sets up a zram cache by default.
