Your mom's dildo.

That's pretty fucking cool and also pretty fucking ominous the easy it hangs in the sky
>>107846076
They're probably shut down to regulate power output
>>
I wonder how expensive the maintenance is for something like this. Big balloons like that need a good amount of work, but on the other hand, you can bring it back down to work on instead of sending a guy up a ladder or using a crane.
I really don't know if it's more or less expensive than a normal wind turbine.
>>
>>107845978
assuming it isn't fake, is this even a good idea?
>>
I see. So the engineers just live in there right? Must have quite the view.
>>
>>107846143
If they don't need to be placed on mountains in bumfuck nowhere, surely they're a lot easier to maintain
I can't imagine what would happen if a nasty storm hits one of these though
>>

>pretty fucking ominous
Yes it's dystopian as fuck.
I would much prefer normal wind turbines.

China: Technocrats with STEM backgrounds in power. Scientists and engineers plan decades ahead. Focus on efficiency and data.

The West: Lawyers and humanities scholars rule. Lobby groups steer the direction. Focus on compromise and election cycles.

The result: Strategic engineering versus short-term administration.

>is this even a good idea?
might be useful in disaster relief, though I imagine helium is a significant cost
>>
>>107846143
I don't think wind turbines need a lot of maintenance at all.
Unless something goes very wrong but that shouldn't happen to tried and tested designs.

Transporting and installing the rotors can be a massive pain though.

I think the real future is in floating offshore turbines: should be able to partially submerge them and then lay them flat (using ballast tanks and air compartments) and tug them to a maintenance yard.

Helium is also a limited resource that relies on natural gas extraction to get replenished (it's a byproduct of natural gas and that's the only place to get it).
>>

Altitude: Constant high-speed winds at 500m+ provide exponential energy gains compared to ground level.
Efficiency: 90% less material. No concrete towers or massive foundations required.
Mobility: Rapid deployment via containers. Ideal for remote areas or emergency grids.
Consistency: High-altitude wind flows are nearly permanent, solving the volatility of surface wind.
Cost: Significant reduction in CAPEX and construction time.
>>
>>107846267
Also why that hyperloop could never work especially not in America.
>>
>>107846292
>No concrete towers or massive foundations required.
So what's stopping if from getting blown away by those strong winds?
>>
At least they're not using a fucking kite.
>>
Wind power sucks ass. Nuclear is the future.
Whether that's fission or fusion and on earth or off earth is irrelevant, all of the above.
>>
>>107846324
it's held by Greta Thunberg
>>
>>107846367
Fission on earth, everything else is a meme to distract us from building fission reactors.
>>
>>107845978
Looks faker than fake. It has multiple cable attachments that don't converge to a single anchor point on the ground. How does it rotate with the wind without fucking the cables up a la a kite? The outside ground anchor points would need to be mobile. Look how big that thing is, it's a huge sail. Any mobile anchor point that isn't a Saturn V rocket crawler-transporter would get yeeted into the air, right?
>>
>>107846536
It's real, though. Just checked, but yeah, looks very fake kek
>>
>>107845978
Lmao if you believe that piece of shit is producing 1MW of power. Why stop the lie at 1MW? Why not claim 1GW? Kids will believe anything nowadays.

No it's not. I just checked.

Yea it is, then if you tell them how you know it's fake they will just use the stolen AI tech they have to change those aspects to prove you wrong.

Hiring them for anything other than basic work is a terrible mistake.
>>
Chinese can be good at running restaurants, but now there is just too many. Then their overwhelming desire to replace western workers in their job because of their immense pride just makes them a terrible worker.

The reduction of restaurants can be attained by setting a price roof, permanently shutting down most restuarants which are deadweight.
