What is better: a 14" or a 16" MacBook Pro? I can't decide. It's unironically too difficult to decide. On one hand, I would prefer the larger display, on the other hand I use my laptop exclusively when I can't use my PC to do something, which means I need a laptop for use around the house and carry it outside first and foremost. I absolutely do not want to use an external monitor almost ever though.

side by side, my friend's mbp 15" looked colossal. must be a lot nicer for media consumption and documents, but he had to lug around a larger bag to work as a result.

whichever you pick will be immediately more comfortable than a phone, but imo 13" sounds like a good fit for u.

t. 13" 2010

Also, forgot to ask: is typing experience good on the 16"? From the pics, the keyboard kinda looks rather far.
My last laptop (non-Apple) was 15.3" (16:10). I didn't think it was particularly large, but I've never owned a 14" laptop in the first place.

I bought and returned a 14in model. The receding hairline camera on the top was too much. Have a 16in from work that I’ve been using exclusively instead

>he had to lug around a larger bag to work as a result
My current bag fits up to 15.6"
>13"
Why? Never owned a 13", but sounds kinda small
>>
>>107850587
I already have a desktop, so all my laptops are on the smaller side, 12-14 inches.

Man do I miss numpad on my keyboard whenever I use a 14" laptop.
16" Macbook can't have shit
>>
I guess the question I want to have the answer to is: is it actually true that a 16" MacBook Pro much more heavy and uncomfortable to carry in a bag than a 14", or is it at all overexaggerated? Because I already owned a 15.3" non-Apple laptop and found it rather fine (but may not know what I'm missing since I've never owned a 14"). If this 16" MacBook is okay to carry, I would rather prefer it I guess.
Any way to decide on this other than buying both of them?

>uncomfortable to carry in a bag
have you considered going to the gym?
I've daily at 15.6" for a few years and had a 14" before that. The portability was nice but at the end of the day having a screen that is bigger is nicer, especially since you're just sitting it on a table and not carrying it while using it like a smartphone.

>have you considered going to the gym?
I hate this meme. It has nothing to do with muscle, a big bulky laptop is just in the way, no matter how buff you are.
When I had a thin and light, it was always in my shoulder bag, because it didn't get in the way. Currently have a shitty gaming laptop (temporary) that's 15 inches and much thicker and heavier, it's annoying to carry around and I selectively only take it when I know I 100% need it, running into occasions where I could have used it but didn't have it with me quite often.

PPI is more important IMO
I can just have it closer
>>
>>107850587
a small macbook is for twinks and a big one is for big fagboys. either way, if you buy a macbook you are gay.

>MBP
Tough choice, both are legit.
>more portable, on-the-go computing? 14"
>churn performance to the most? 16"
If the question is MBA, very easy. Always go 13" (15" is kinda wasteful)
My personal rule is:
-only own one laptop: 14" with decent specs
-own two laptops: 12/13" detachable/ultrabook with bare minimum specs & 16" maxed out workstation (assume won't own a desktop)

>>107850705
Heavy, not really. MBP problem is a bit more of dimension than weight. 16" MBP isn't much heavier than 14" MBP. Most compact bags could fit 14" MBP easily while 16" might not.
If you can carry around typical big gaming laptop around. 16" MBP is fucking nothing. Some brands offer bags/backpacks specifically designed for MacBook in mind, choices are plenty.

the 16 inch macbook pro is smaller and lighter than the pre 2016 15 inch macbook pro. the thick bezels make the 15 inch mbp bigger than the the 16 one

there is no equivalent to macs

macs have:
>soldered SSD/RAM/WLAN
doesnt exist on 99% of PCs
>when pajeetOS runs out of RAM it swapfile rapes the SSD to death within 3 years
doesnt exist on 99% of PCs
>when the SSD dies it bricks your entire currybook because the EFI is stored on thesoldered SSD to save $0.05 on a dedicated chip
doesnt exist on 99% of PCs
>components serial numbered and tied to the motherboard to prevent repair and replacement (including battery)
doesnt exist on 99% of PCs
>riveted keyboard that requires total destruction of the chassis to replace
doesnt exist on 99% of PCs
>flexgate cables that are so brittle they crack from opening your screen past 90 degrees more than 2 dozen times
doesnt exist on 99% of PCs
>screens so fucking shit they have over 90ms response times (essentially 10Hz)
doesnt exist on 99% of PCs
>screen made from pajeet trash glass that cracks from temperature change in seasons or tape over the iBotnet webcam
doesnt exist on 99% of PCs
>so fire and explosion prone the FAA have banned them from all flights
doesnt exist on 99% of PCs
>uses phone CPU that's so shit it gets destroyed by decade old i3s from 2017 and can only "compete" by cheating at benchmarks in extreme edge cases with hardware accelerators
doesnt exist on 99% of PCs
>curryniggers at apploo get so full of sniffing their own currynigger silicon shit they ship currybooks with no fans and they run so hot they melt the keyboard keys
doesnt exist on 99% of PCs

>keyboards with 63.5% failure rate
unheard of on PCs, and yet you curryniggers defend it with "jus werx fer me!"
just because you're in the 36.5% survivor group doesn't make your currynigger trash any good
this list goes on forever
there's no PC laptop as total fucking currynigger shit as crapple's streetshitter books
they are the biggest heaps of steaming currynigger shit in the history of computing second only to curryPhones
