240p to 1080p It's over for the competition (there isn't any)It's over for "Native resolution" (99% of Native res in games now is actually garbage forced TAA blurshit)NVIDIA WON
It looks very blurry still
Worst timeline.Jensen and Timmy rubbing hands in the background.
You don't need dlss for a game that already looks like shit
>>107852757the only reason it can do this is because it's trained on how the game already looks
>>107852757perfect for the post ram streaming era.just stream a 240p footage and upscale it or something like that
>>107852821why not train it on a better looking game than oblivion at this point
>>107852757>blurry to blurryWhy would I ever use this
>>107852844Gaymers won't notice the blur on their non-RGB subpixel layout OLED monitors anyway due to the pixel arrangement which makes everything look blurry.
>>107852757DUMBASS THAT IS NOT 240P TO 1080PTHAT IS 240P NATIVE TO 240P DLSShttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FEdKM98n5pg&t=1686sIt's still pretty crazy
>>107852757This is what competent devs can do.
>>107852757What is stopping them from making it fully realistic? If it's already generating fake shit on the fly why not force it to generate photo-realistic version?
so what do you do?run games at 480p but turn up all the settings and upscale to 4k?
>>107852757Is it possible to use this without fake frames?
>>107853240It's trained on a game-by-game basis. The upscale only knows what the game is supposed to look like at higher resolutions.
>>107852757Are you even playing the game the way the dev intended it to look atp?
>>107852757>NVIDIA WONhttps://www.pcmag.com/news/nvidia-reportedly-hits-pause-delays-rtx-50-super-gpus-heres-whyhttps://www.tomshardware.com/pc-components/gpus/for-the-first-time-in-5-years-nvidia-will-not-announce-any-new-gpus-at-ces-company-quashes-rtx-50-super-rumors-as-ai-expected-to-take-center-stagehttps://www.pcgamer.com/software/ai/nvidia-reminds-us-its-not-a-gaming-company-anymore-but-an-ai-data-center-infrastructure-company/Nvidias goal is the Xbox way. They want you to subscribe and stream games via their services. GPU's are not their goal anymore, the gaming market is not their main target.
>>107852757looks like ass
>>107853267frame gen is a totally different setting (that is barely supported in any games anyways)dlss aa works for all
>>107852977I thought phone oleds fixed that a few years ago, are monitors that far behind?
ill admit that dlaa with dlss 4.5 looks very nice on elden ring.
>>107852757Why are we going backwards with resolutions and frame rates? I was playing Unreal Tournament at 1600x1200 with 4xAA at like 200 fps back in 2002. If someone had told me that 20 years in the future games would struggle to reach 60 fps at 1920x1080 and that everyone would be using technology to fake upscale everything, I would've thought they were pranking me.
That's nowhere near enough. I want more fake pixels and frames.
