"Local PC hardware is antiquated">RIP RAM Prices>No GPU's announced>StarlinkWelcome to the future, goyim.
>>107859483The only ones who care what some old bald shitter says are the ones who send him money. and that ain't me, and neither should be you
so that was the plan all along
>>107859483Would be so sad if someone took an angle grinder to a few transmission towers.
>>107859483Jeff doesn't even work at Amazon anymore?
>the quiet partit was always the loud part. they just didn't want to hear it
>>107859555Yeah no one buys anything from amazon. Nobody
>>107859483What will you access the VM with? One of these Android phones with 16GB of RAM (12GB is spent loading ads?)Fucking overly gnostic retards.
>>107859483What hardware would we be renting?
>>107859626Nobody SHOULD be buying anything from amazon* ftfy
It all seems to be pointing that way.I, for one, welcome our new dumb terminal computing.
Stop listening to celebrities.Stop listening to billionaires.Stop listening to shareholders.
>>107859483inb4:>First clould only Triple A game>First cloud competitive online gameCloud gaming kills piracy, cheating and modding. + they got you as a subscriber. Just like tv/movie streaming, they LOVE it.
>>107859748Can't wait for the response times to be even shittier as a result. Oh and inb4 people still end up figuring out how to do all those things anyways so the only difference in the future is that you are only allowed to rent your own shit and that is it.
>>107859626I don't use amazon, never needed it.
>>107859814Fuck, increased response time in general to match cloud gamers. You could probably still cheat with AI that reads your screen.
did he actually say this or did someone just lie and he was actually talking about enterprise on-prem deployments. which are objectively antiquated.
>>107859483Western boomers are so greedy that one day they will eat themselves alive with their money hunger. They think we'll be happy owning nothing and renting everything from them, even a spoon, but people will end up buying hardware from Temu, and those boomers will take all their money to their graves.
>>107859918what's the specs of this CPU
>>107859918They're banning Temu next.Buying RAM in 10 years will be the equivalent of buying cp today. The goal is to make it not just illegal, but morally wrong.
>>107859937It's a Christ Pantokrator, which literally means "ruler of all." Imagine the specs, bro.
>>107859483they tried. no one bought into it.
>>107859483What's hilarious is that his guy basically nuked all legislation to make the infrastructure for this possible. More than likely people will just stop using computers all together than this shit cloud garbage with seconds of latency.
bezos has never not even once in his life used cloud as his local pc or he'd know it sucks ass and there's nothing he can do about it
>>107860004Nobody wanted this shit because everyone knew that owning a real PC was better. They learned their lesson, if they want to make you change they simply won't give you a choice anymore.
>>107860004You won't have a choice
>>107859483what does Starlink have to do with any of this? Isn't he trying to build a competitor?
>>107860182>what does Starlinkinternet connection absolutely everywhere with no escape
It's Chromebook all over again
>>107860004So, they'll force you this time.
>>107860182Yeah, this doesn't fit. Decentralised, far away from the control of governments, corpos, and jews alike. Starlink exists outside the system. This is the alternative to everything being housed in a small number of giant data centres that you rent your PC from, that ruin the lives of anyone living within 50 miles of the fuckers.
>>107859483there's so much e-waste around it will never happen, it's also impossible to stream everything globally without raping the servers
>>107859642A thin client with a custom lightweight bsd based os that directly connects to AWS.
>>107860319thirdies already have more modern and faster internet than many western countries. They just built their infrastructure recently with the right tools. + Jeff will rent some Starlink to provide EVERYWHERE
Shame that he won't be impacted by the bubble popping much.
>>107860371that means more users, it just makes it even more unsustainable
>>107859483 “The door refused to open. It said, “Five cents, please.”He searched his pockets. No more coins; nothing. “I’ll pay you tomorrow,” he told the door. Again he tried the knob. Again it remained locked tight. “What I pay you,” he informed it, “is in the nature of a gratuity; I don’t have to pay you.”“I think otherwise,” the door said. “Look in the purchase contract you signed when you bought this conapt.”In his desk drawer he found the contract; since signing it he had found it necessary to refer to the document many times. Sure enough; payment to his door for opening and shutting constituted a mandatory fee. Not a tip.“You discover I’m right,” the door said. It sounded smug. From the drawer beside the sink Joe Chip got a stainless steel knife; with it he began systematically to unscrew the bolt assembly of his apt’s money-gulping door.“I’ll sue you,” the door said as the first screw fell out.Joe Chip said, “I’ve never been sued by a door. But I guess I can live through it.”
>>107860266>Starlink exists outside the system. What are you talking about? It is more centralized than terrestrial internet.
>>107860169>>107860175>>107860250desu it will outright not work even if they try to "force" people via these corpo-financial schemes. china will start making everything PC related, and people will rather buy those than use cloud PCs. if the consumer gets priced out of those, or the government is so compromised by corporations that they try to shut it down, then we have entered such a gay and retarded phase in history that nothing will likely be working right anywayimo the big issue with a lot of this late stage "capital owners ruling everything" is that it eventually destroys the system it tries to exploit, and at that point your 2 options are to let it collapse and equalize things again, or embrace the entropy and enter totalitarianism. as long as there isn't 1 country that isn't fucked up then all the people with skills to run society will flee there, so the latter isn't really a long term solution (see: soviet union)
>>107859918>people on my country still buy cheap xeon servers from China to turn into a gamming rig>I can already find cheap 32gb Chinese ddr5 The average american will be locked out of owning a computer.I just hope my 4090 don't die on me in the next 4, 5 years so my next gpu can be a Chinese one too.
I'm keeping what I've got like my life depends on it and you should too. Fuck that gay future.
>>107860581>Computer is dying>Take holiday to ChinaI wonder...
>>107860581>>107860610Don't forget to backup your favorite media.
>>107860670I do.
>>107859483You know what else is antiquated? turbomanlets with shit taste in women.
>>107859483Yes and you'll need a digital ID as well. It's all about getting all your information and controlling everything you can do. Of course, a certain group of people & country will be exempt from it.
>>107859483All those billionaires and their entire families must be hanged, there is no other way to fix society problems.
Hoarding as many second hand laptops as I can and refreshing them with temu SSDs, batteries and upgraded screens. For desktop PC parts I can check whatever stolen shit was pawned to CEX (£5 for a 500GB HDD what the fuck?)
I read the article and watched the entire segment where he talks about AI, and he doesn’t say that at all. He says that AI is going to be in absolutely everything, much like electricity, and that it will make everything better (make of that what you will). I think the article is just ragebait, especially since it touches on a bunch of loosely related topics. Also, the interview is from a year ago, when Amazon was still releasing its first model, Nova. What Bezos originally said was about compute for enterprise, not the kind of technology the average person, or the autistic gooner here has in their cave.
>>107859483>>says the man selling the cloud infrastructureI would have never guessed this.
>>107860866All problems and evil in society can be traced back to some form of socialist hijacking. Kill all leftists and billionaires won't have any unfair leverage.
>>107859483The problem with the tech sector is that everyone is optimizing for npc normies because they are 90% of the customers. And normies are slave minded and they dont care about privacy and ownership.
Does age correlate with evil?
>>107860898>Kill all leftists and billionaires won't have any unfair leverage. Its so true. But 99% are too dumb to see it.
