>windows 2000, Me, vista didnt exist
autismo raabel larps as windows conoisseurs, lamao

win 8/8.1 was actually pretty neat
quite stable, relatively lightweight, looked good
dislking w8 is reddit larping as oldfag consoomers
>>
>>107870138
oh yeah i too like it when my start menu consumes my entire screen
who are you kidding, 8 was a massive downgrade from 7 and 10 is way better by comparison (still shit though because windows is always shit)

I never liked win8 because win7 was simply the better and more lightweight choice.

>how so reddit talking ponts?
>reiterates reddit talking points
im fairly certain youre too young to remember windows 8
>>
>>107870157
>more lightweight choice
im not even sure about that
w8 took 1.3 gig of memory grand max

i skipped w7 entirely. because it was vista with service packs and fuck that noise
>>
>>107870151
Nah, windows 10 had slightly better UI than 8 but internally it was a downgrade.

nice deflection

Trying too hard, kiddo.

its invalid. but feel free to try again

I never used it myself but 8/8.1 was actually better than 7 I found out.

As I said, trying too hard. It was obvious.

you sound mad

both were probably just as fine
i honestly liked the metro aesthetic
fuck the fisher price rounded corners
and i liked the menu. windows key brings it up, it was comfy

i used to emulate that functionality by having a hidden folder docked to an edge of a screen (top, or left), with various shortcuts

with w8 i had a dedicated menu for that. i liked it.

>implying trying to fit in is even a parameter
like i said, reddit is down the street to the left
>>

Windows 7 and 8.1 still got support at that time, and windows 10 at least got enough new shit that it kinda sorta doesn't suck, just not as good as older versions, but at least not purposefully gimped to fuck and developed backwards. It just got stuck in the Metro remake and never got to finish it.

Windows 11 doesn't have any of that excuse, it's being developed backward because they can sell "we redevelop everything from scratch by outsourced vibe coders" to the share holders.
>>
>>107870138
Hardly anyone even even used 8. Look up the sales numbers. It was forgotten as quickly as vista since it was just as badly received and 10 came out just 3 years later.
>windows 2000
You are confusing 2000 with ME. Because you're just a zoomer who, despite nearly being 30, is still trying to fit in with older people. Where are your own memories? Why not wax poetic about the PS3 or some shit?

Windows users really have it rough, while macOS still feels and works pretty much the same as it did back in Mojave's 2018 release, aside from a few minor UI tweaks and some enhanced features, macOS remains cozy.
>>
>>107870482
I'd say MacOS' UI and layout hasn't changed all that much since the OG Mac OS X. It's not like Windows where every other release they feel like they need to experiment with their design philosophy.

I've only been using macOS since Mojave so no idea about previous versions, honestly it's great take on OS development.
Imagine trying to re-invent the wheel with every new release, it's dumb, microsoft execs. are dumb.

>>107870138
w2k is literally the best windows ever you n00b, then comes 7
>>
>>107870202
It's taking me 10 years to realize this was true
