>built whole new pc in august 2025>5090>128gb DDR5(you fags said it was overkill)>2 4tb nvmeWho else /COMFY/ watching people scramble?
>>107871523Why not 8 tb 9900?
>>107871523I'm not sure how you'll ever use all that RAM unless you're doing some really specific workstation tasks, but I'm also comfy with my 32GB. Only wish I bought a 5080 sooner and didn't have to tolerate a 9070 XT.
>>107874056Is there something wrong with 9070XT? I was considering buying it myself
>>107874378Certain projects don't work well with it. Most of the coom generator fixes for amd do not work on the 9070xt, shit like ryujinx runs worse on my 9070xt than my 3060 12gb. There's nothing wrong with the card and it works great, it's just that community projects are usually not written for it in mind.
>>107871523I've been chilling with a 4090 since 2022 and later a 7950X3D with 64GB RAM since 2023. Kind of crazy it's closing in on 4 years old and the 4090 is still the 2nd fastest card on the market and the 5090 is only like 25% ahead at 4k. Might upgrade the CPU with some Zen 6 3D cache model whenever those come out.
>>107874452Yeah I skipped the 40xx generation, wish I could’ve known what a powerhouse the 4090 would be. I have a 9800x3d so like to think I’m set for a while with my setup
>>107874056Mostly use it for VMs and because I never wanted to have to worry about it
>>107871523I'm pretty comfy with my PC from 2013.And your money drain can literally do nothing more than my PC can.
