Rizzler born in 2000 here. How did boomers stare at these radiation boxes for hours on end on a daily basis without their eyes bleeding?

listen up, kiddo because I'm only gonna say this once. Back in my day, we called it the family room. Everyone would hang out, so if I was playing vidya, my parents and siblings were there watching.
We shared the radiation, so in actuality we did not get that much. You kids today might get less radiation per-screen, but all of it is going to you. Sure, the CRT might be worse, but I had gram and gramps as a buffer.
Where are your grandparents? Oh yeah, shoved away in some nursing home, watching reruns of the golden girls instead of witnessing pure kino like Suikoden 2 or MegaMan Legends like my grandparents did when I was a kid.

Your eyes are more likely to bleed from smoking tobacco from your rizzler

When a friend of mine beat final fantasy 8 like two weeks after it was out, it was a family event to see the end because everyone had watched him play it for those two weeks enough to know the characters and basic story. Literally four kids plus me from next door, his dad, Mom, Aunt and the fucking dog.

There was something to that.

lol my mom and dad unironically looked forward to me playing through ff7 and 8, to the point that they'd ask me if I finished my homework so they could see what happens next.
My dad would even curse at the TV like he does with sports, he especially hated Hojo from ff7
It was great, I want to go back

Cause the motion was so clear it's not like the glitchy picture boxes we have now. In terms of eye strain the stutter of modern monitors is far worse for the eye.
