Why not just use your phone or a laptop?
>>
e-ink easier on the eyes
>>

Eink screen is a little easier on the eyes and the battery life is way better
Plus some people benefit from the fact that you can't just switch to watching porn on your Kindle

Phone is too small to comfortably read books, laptop is too big to comfortably hold in bed, on a plane, on the shitter, or whatever. Kindles are also super light and have insane battery life, I bought mine in large part for camping because of those two reasons. (Plus it was only $79 or something on Prime Day and I had $50 of rewards credit.)

one thing for everything is bad actually, ruminate on this too long and you'll realize people shouldn't wear yoga pants in public but i digress.

Battery life, pixel density.

What's the best e reader in 2026? Last I shopped around, there were a lot of models that were locked into an ecosystem like Amazon.

E-paper legit looks beautiful to me, I love the grainy matte display. Too bad I can't give up buying used paperbacks, so I barely have any use for them.

Yes but can you put pirated mangas on it?
>>
>>107876264
nta but yes, I use .cbzs in KOReader on a Kobo
Android ones like Boox can just use Mihon
>>

I will look into this. I prefer holding the actual book. But I just don't have the physical room to shelve entire series anymore. I hate the idea of going digital, but it is what it is
>>
>>107876135
Because it's more pleasurable to read.

>Boox
Great Android reader, best all-rounder with diverse screen sizes. Most customizable.
>Bigme
Same as Boox, just cheaper, but with more jank. Suppoesdly battery life is really unoptimized.
>Kobo
If you want something that just works and want to risk rooting it for more content, then go ahead.
>Kindle
Don't recommend because it's easy to kill device while rooting and it's all subscription-based nonsense.

If you're a musicfag and want sheet music, get something bigger than 11 inches.

Thank you, I'll look into those. Pretty simple uses here, just books. Colors would be nice but I'm already not into comics so no real loss.
>>
>>107876338
NTA but I use PocketBook Color 3. It's nice.
>>
>>107876135
Because I can't stand being mkultrad by my shitter pixels pwm screen for more than 5 minutes
>>
it's a normalfaggot meme along with vinyl players
