do you have a pair of bone conduction open ear underwater headphones yet?
Use them:
-in the shower
-swimming, scuba diving
-with an additional pair of earbuds to enhance your schizo delusions
-many more options

No I got the shokz openrun (not underwater) ones
>>
I use them so I can listen to music with hearing protection in at work. Not sure why anyone would use them for running given the choice.
>>
how bad do they bleed?
>>
>>107879646
dunno probably some, I haven't tested that, I'm not an audiophile
they have a certain je nai sa quoi due to the bone conduction that's really satisfying
supposedly the audio quality is lower for those with a golden ear
>>
>bluetooth
I don't want cancer, sorry.
>>
>>107879593
Don't buy the pro version, they are more expensive but less water resistant, they'll break after a few months if you just use them during runs.
>>
>>107880321
wrap them in tinfoil and use the onboard memory which is required for underwater use
>>
be careful about cheap chink ones, they're fake
>>
>>107880153
The audio quality is certainly lower, if it's for music you really should only get them if you either want to swim or want something that does not obstruct your ear canals, either for situational awareness or other reasons.

>onboard memory
Not as bad as I thought.

You're currently being blasted by 2.4ghz right this minute there's no avoiding it

ive got the shockz openrun pro 2 and they are "okay at best" tier, nowhere near the quality of headphones even half the price, but i use them when im cycling or working on stuff and wanna hear things around me, they are also REALLY comfortable
>>
Am I misunderstanding something? How do you use them while swimming? Do you have your phone on you too?
>>
>>107880510
Yeah, there are many water proof bags and water proof phones.
>>
>>107880582
>>107880510
Actually I'm not sure how the Bluetooth range is underwater. Pretty much all models that are rated water proof for diving have onboard memory.
>>
>>107880369
but the bone conduction at higher volumes gives music a cool feel

anyone know if using bone conduction headphones at high volumes is better or worse for your ears than regular headphones?

>>107880510
using the onboard memory is highly recommended/required if submersion in water is involved
>>
>>107879551
I have those. they suck.
just buy airpods or the galaxy buds or whatever.
>>107879643
this is the only legitimate reason to get them.

>better or worse for your ears
my inner ear still feel pain from using these for a long period of time. I don't have the same issue with ear buds.
don't know if it's doing damage or not.
