I need to buy a new fridge with a freezer on the bottom. What brand do you recommend if reliability and long lifespan is the main priority above all? Don't suggest me french door, side-by-side fridges, I'm looking for something like picrel but probably taller.

that is a poor person fridge

I don't live in the US, we don't do french door or side-by-side here

Electrolux always works. I have two top and bottom fridge/freezer combos from them and one have chugged along for 16 years without issue, the other one reaching 11 years soon.

Is it true that in America you must have a double fridge with ice cube maker in it or everyone will secretly judge you and think you're poor?
>>
They're all shit. I bought a samsung about 15 years ago and it's still just about working, had to clean the coil off last year for the first time.

sub zero is pretty reliable but on the more expensive end, you get what you pay for though.

Panasonic.
Or a hitachi, mine is a bit over 10 years and still works fine.
>>
Is LG, by any chance, any good? Since it's on the OP pic, although I didn't pick it on purpose.

Liebherr for the best. (comes with 10 year warranty)
Bosch for the 2nd best.
>>
>be CEO of liebherr
>a heavy duty crane company
>want to buy a fridge
>none of them are up to your standard
>fuck it i'll make my own fridge
>creates a brand new division of liebherr who's only purpose is to make the best refrigerators and freezers

Liebherr is the best fridge brand. Or Miele since Miele just buys Libeherr units and rebrands them.

i'd say samsung for build quality and reliability. but mine picked up a weird smell a year in. a opened up the port on the back and cleaned off the coils with diluted bleach and that helped.

LMAO no

Samsung and LG and dogwater trash. In fact just stay the fuck away from anything Korean when it comes to appliances.
>>
>European
Liebherr (Miele), Bosch, AEG
>American
Sub-Zero
>Japanese
Hitachi
>Australian
Fisher & Paykel
>Korean
nope
>Chinese
Haier (but not enough data on reliability yet to give a recommendation)
>>

Is there any actual advantage to having the freezer on the bottom?
>>
>>107881021
so I guess ice maker and water dispenser won't be an issue, you can buy whatever poverty models are available and it will be fine. they are all made by the same chinese factory anyway.
>>
>>107881568
when the freezer fails it doesn't dump defrosted ice water into the fridge compartment.
>>
Whatever you do don't get one with an ice-maker or a computer in the door.
