What should I do with my social media profiles before I apply for a job? Make them private? Take them down? I have learned in school that every company has a different policy. What do you all recommend?
>>107882571i don't use social media, but i made a fb a while ago that i keep up and unused and private so HR roasties can at least find something on me. i feel like if those cunts knew what a schizoid i was it would be an immediate nohire.
>>107882571Be based man and put them on private. If they look at your profile and judge you not to be social enough, you just filtered yourself for a tranny environment, no?I'm unemployed btw but seen a talented based man with empty LinkedIn get hired real quick
>>107882586I totally agree. Having nothing for some foid at HR to find is hellasussy. If HR knew how many times I have been banned from Reddit, of course they would not hire me.
>>107882590I might end up getting hired soon even though my LinkedIn is empty. I had an internship from May to August. And it has been extended to the point where I am still working. If they hire me full time, I will be one of those hired with basically nothing in LinkedIn. In my defense, my internship was workfromhome, and I signed NDAs saying I would not discuss what I do at work. Those pesky NDAs kinda limit what I can put online about my experience and how I have been developing my skills.
>>107882621I'm half memeing about the linked in. I'm not from the USA but the tech here is pretty good, companies that might do social network screening and shit I'd assume would be more bigger and more founded, but more than enough other companies who try todo things and would go so far, just need a good old resume of a competent man and an interview not to be retarded. As an example my sister started at some smaller company that did that, after a few years the company is serving some of the biggest corporations in the country but hiring is still the same.Social media background is an a good idea but formed into a tool to sell as a service(maybe?), I doubt many use it to find 'perfect' candidate. At best they do a simple check to see you are not an unhinged tranny poster... But seems like those get hired too.The area represents the price they need to pay as rent. So one that doesn't have offices at the most expensive might not employ every little 'smart' thing to filter out. Also every normal person would think social media has nothing to do with skill, which is the commodity which they need(that is ran by a normal person and not a tech geek twitter faggot)I'm drunk and rambling. Good luck nigger man.Btw what country/state you in? Im curious to check how shit looks in other places
