There is definitely some weird shit going on. I went to microcenter the day after christmas and almost all of these cards were below or at MSRP. I got this 9070xt for $530, the very next day it was listed at over $100 more. I remember reading a report some time late last year about how retailers weren't restocking RAM because it sat on their shelves for too long, then a few weeks later we get the entire "ram shortage" story, and now all the ram is much more expensive, and yet it still is sitting on retailer shelves. I get something being scarce and thus requiring a higher price, like during covid when GPUs were going twice the MSRP because you just couldn't find them anywhere, but now all of these things are readily available, and yet we are still seeing covid era pricing.

Microcenter has a brand new old stock Ryzen 5800XT for $200. It comes with their wraith prism cooler. I can get a decent B550 MSI board for $100 flat because of bundle deal. What's the "best" GPU I can pair with this CPU? As in the best bang for buck? Looking to game at 1440p, modern titles, chasing >75fps

I have a solid i9 10900 system. 64GB of DDR4. My GPU is ancient and while it's impressive this GTX 1070 just isn't working for my wants and needs. Prices on everything is sky high as i'm sure you all know. Is there a reason not to get an Intel Arc B580 12GB for $260?

I played 250+ hours of Cypberpunk 2077 with DLSS and all settings on a mix of medium and high. I never had a single game crash or slow down to due RAM usage. I'm on 1440p. People are fear mongering about VRAM. I wouldn't recommend getting a sub 8GB GPU of course because modern games get more and more bloated, but people screeching about OMG YOU NEED 16GB MINIMUM, EVEN 24GB MAY NOT BE ENOUGH IN 3 YEARS REEE
