Is there a core reason why nobody seems to even care about non Nvidia GPUs?Should I buy an AMD PC in 2026?I think an 5700xt is like 200 usd.

>>107891113I have a 9070xt. It is great. The downside is community projects are all written for cuda and I have to locate forks that work around this. If you're going to run linux amd is better supported because their drivers aren't a black box. If you're going to coomgen or even run newer hardware emulators like yuzu or ryujinx they will run better on nvidia. My 3060 12gb ran ryujinx significantly better than the 9070xt does

They do this wierd shit where they render things as dots and the new GPUs smear it like you would when stepping in shit. Had it in lords of the fallen 2, (last game I played) but don't care enough to play with settings to find wtf is that.I'm happy with it but wouldn't recommend, maybe check out the 6900 or 7900

Does that mean Nvidia is shit? No. But it also means you shouldn't base your purchase on what some fanboys say online. Look at price, hardware testing by professional sources (multiple) and then decide what you want to buy. Picrel was the result of the current "what hardware do you have" user survey at Sweclockers. The largest PC forum in Sweden. AMD absolutely crushed Nvidia in terms of popularity. The 9070 XT standing so far above the rest it wasn't even a competition.
I use several content creation programs that either need CUDA to run or perform better with that shit instead of using OpenCL.
