I have a Gigabyte B650 GAMING X AX V2
motherboard and a Seagate FireCuda 530 1Tb ssd (I got it for free brand new a few years ago).

I know the ssd has its own heatsink, so I must remove the mobo's heatsink.
But can't I use a naked 500Gb ssd for windows, that will use the mobo's heatsink, and use the firecuda ssd for games in the secondary ssd slot of the mobo?
If so, which "naked" ssd should I get for windows that suits my motherboard? I just need 500Gb since it'll just be for wondows and softwares. The games will be in the firecuda.

That way I dont "waste" the motherboard's heatsink.
Sorry if its a dumb question, the last time I built a pc was 12 years ago, I'm unfamiliar with ssd.

Since RDNA3+ AMD has had better display controller than Nvidia. For instance RTX 4000 and under shits itself with DSC & HDR without MPO setups. It's working and good on AMD meanwhile. The colors literally pop more on AMD after you do some basic ICC and driver calibration.

There is an old weird bug in AMD control panel that under specific circumstances disables SRGB clamping of SDR applications in HDR mode.
