i'm currently using a 21:9 2560x1080 75hz monitor, i'm thinking of buying a 1440 145hz monitor, is it worth making the switch or is ultrawide that superior?
>>

Personal preference I guess. I bought an ultra wide last year. Had it for two months, hated it and went back to two 27" monitors.
>>
>>107894653
for me it was vertical ultrawide
>>
>>107894653
I'd stick with two monitors.

I used to have three monitors, then I switched to a 34 inch ultrawide. Now I have ONE screen and small portable monitor I can plug in when I need it.
So much nicer only having one large monitor with tiling.

just be careful
ultrawide monitors are a hit & miss, especially the cheap ones like AOC (pic related)
also turn on AMBIENT MODE when watching youtube cuz it'll create a burn line on the borders of your monitor cuz most youtube videos are 16:9 and the black side borders not being used will create a different shade eventually
but overall I'm not going back to 16:9 for my main monitor cuz I love watching movies on my 21:9 cuz most movies are borderless
I still use 16:9 on my 2 wing monitors though

yes
ultrawide is for zoomer faggots, 16:9 is for the white man
(all other resolutions are for tech enthusiasts, that may be a good thing or not depending on the resolution)

>16:9 is for the white man
Wrong, that is for goycattle. 16:10 is the aryan ratio.
>>

>almost the same
>except it messes up the most common form of video
why

it's what he has on his stinkpad, so he must imagine it is superior to everything else or admit he's an idiot

I was on 34" 1440p 144Hz 21:9 ultrawide for a while but switched to 16:9 42" 4k OLED 144Hz.
Can still get the same effect and FOV if I want with black bars.
>>
>>107894653
I'm never going back from 32:9
>>

it sure is nice to have an LCD and not get burn in for a quarter of the price of "TRVE BLACKS"

having a 4K monitor with good color accuracy is way more important as a creator than FPS or anything like that, although a lot of cheap LCDs have great framerates still.

i was kind of waiting for the whole quantum dot QLED thing to take off, but i never looked into it and i'll probably never get another monitor until something bad happens to my $500 curvy dell.

>21:9
you mean 7:3?
