I not so subtly try to get my friends and family to use foss stuff but I feel like I come off as annoying. Like expressing my disdain for using Gmail in the app/in the browser instead of Thunderbird. I set up Thunderbird for my bro on his phone but he says he just ends up using the Gmail app and I’m baffled that he doesn’t find all the sponsored ads in his own email client to be annoying.

I have way too many projects I want to try such as home assistant and whatnot, but I'm too lazy to do anything these days.Many years ago I set up a home server with what I wanted at the time and I've just left it as-is. Even the distro I'm using now (SUSE) I'm not entirely happy with it, but I can't be bothered to install something else.
