Question about an image forum I was browsing Reddit when I found this chan here [https://nblurb.com/] and I'd like to know how they hosted this site (note: it's a mix of Reddit and 4chan, but it can be considered an image forum/chan). I'd like to ask the creator of this chan how they did it. I'm thinking of hosting it on Vercel or GitHub Pages. I tried commenting on the thread, but since it's been 5 months, I haven't received any answers. So, which service did you host it on: Vercel, GitHub Pages, Cloudflare, or another? (Note: this is not an advertisement for the chan, just a question)

>>107903742But dude, how did he manage to host it like that?
>>107903791I don't know either, I just wanted to host my chan the same way he did
>>107903878you might want to host a static website to start with to learn basic sysadmin. i followed this tutorial back in 2020:https://codetv.dev/blog/deploy-nodejs-ssl-digitalocean/Note: You don't have to use Digitalocean, i switched provider after they raised their prices. Then install an imageboard engine like vichan. you can also try my one called Fuze Mediaboard although it's not ready for long-term use.
>>107903977And is this free? I don't have any money right now.
>>107903681>how do I host the most basic crud app in existence?are you a plumber or something? how can you be on this board and not know the answer to this question

>>107904547Hey, I'm trying to host something but it's difficult. Is there any web hosting service I can use for free?
>>107904604Yes just run it. It will be available at localhost:3000
>>107904640:( not funny
>>107904527It's not expensive; hosting + a domain is about €6 per month, or in American units: one McDonald's meal a month.
>>107904604there's several hosting services that give you free trials, including AWS Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Digital Ocean and many more. The easiest might be Vercel or Pythonanywhere for python apps. Oracle gives you $200 for free to try out for 6 months, that's plenty to host a site.
