Language influences ideas and thought. Knowing the syntax of a programming language is just as important as knowing the syntax of the language you speak. Ideas cannot be separated from the media and syntax used to transmit tgise ideas, or the work needed to transmit those ideas into practice. It's why Ideas Men are so mocked, having an "idea" is worthless if you don't know how to put it into practice. Programming separated from coding will quickly fall apart as people will not only no longer be able to fix broken code, but won't have as deep of understand of programming in general.

I have been trying to use AI for all my measurement programs it works quite well for simple stuff but the moment you have some state like cancel/stop etc. it shits itself and gets stuck. The you get some heisenberg bugs. One thing was qt signals/slots not triggering since they ran in a different thread so it just slapped QCoreApplication::processevent everywhere which is wrong. I have even written a design document and provided a bunch of example of ported applications but it doesn't work as well as I expected.
Shits out boilerplate quite well and its neat how you can essentially probe a solution out but it cannot implement it all without some bugs. Maybe web stuff is better? I want to see how it performs on node red.

Jobs are for slaves. Which is why I haven't had one in over 20 years now. Why would I want to get up early everyday, fight traffic, do something I hate while dealing with horrible co-workers and a boss and then fight traffic coming back home. Then have to deal with trying to squeeze 2-3 hours of enjoyment of my hobbies tops out of what's left of my day while I'm dead tired.

I dropped out of society years ago. I own nothing and I am happy. I can write software for fun and spend my days doing whatever the fuck I want to. I sleep when I want for as long as I want. I retired at age 21.

These people are crying about not being able to afford a house while paying $1k+ a month in rent to live near the HQ of these big tech companies. Meanwhile, I own a home in the middle of nowhere and get to do fun things everyday like gardening, riding my ATV and sleeping in til 4pm if I feel like it.

These people have a slave mentality and I'm happy they're all about to lose their jobs. We saw in 2020 that normalfags simply can not handle having free time. I look forward to watching them all lose their minds again. If your identity is based on your slave occupation then you're not really a human. Normalfags require constant stimulation and busy work because they have no imagination, no real friends and no self worth. The only good thing about the up-coming LLM security state is the fact that most of these people will end up blowing their brains out because they can't cope with boredom.

Not NEETing it up. All my stuff is in a trust so I don't have to pay taxes on anything. I saved up $100k and spent $50k of it to build a home on property my grandfather left me when he died. I put the other half into stocks and bonds. Which pay out enough dividends to live on comfortably. I charge my disabled friend that gets autismbux $300 a month to live in a small house located on the other side of the property behind some woods so I don't have to see or interact with him ever if I don't want to. Part of his rent is mowing all the yards so I don't have to do it. I make about $100-$300 a week doing odd jobs for the old retired people that live in the area (mostly mowing grass and misc. house upkeep + tech support). Which allows me to not touch my savings. I can live on as little as $100 a week if I want to since I don't pay taxes and I only have to drive my truck once a week to do the weekly supply run for groceries and tobacco. I ended up with a bunch of shit like old video game consoles, CRT monitors, games and things of that nature back when people were giving them away. So realistically I could probably live off that alone for the next 10 years if I decided to start selling them on ebay.

See here is the issue more normalfag wageslaves have: They burn through most of their money every month on rent+work related expenses. They also keep everything in their own name so they pay tons of taxes. Meanwhile, I'm getting farmer gibs for moving some sand around or mowing a field I would have mowed anyway.

Lol, I can just laugh at bullshit like that.
Company I work for produces highly specialized and highly customizable machines. The AI team spent the entirety of 2025 with trying to teach AI the concept of one single machine (out of 16 in our portfolio) and the AI failed so badly to understand our machines that the entire project got scrapped.
I'm the Admin of the software that the sales department uses to generate quotes and order confirmations, I build the configurators for the machines, using software internal point and click logic, SQL interface and a customized Pascal/Delphi interface with access to the entire software's class structure.
If I'd want to ask ChatGPT to generate a Delphi program for me to implement into the configurator, I'd first need to teach ChatGPT how that interface worked, to do that I'd need to teach ChatGPT how the software works, to do that I'd need to teach ChatGPT how our machines work, which was already proven impossible.
Nothing regarding my job is in ChatGPT's dataset.
If you're calling yourself Software Engineer and you're replaced by AI, that simply means that all your career long you did nothing but "solve" problems that others have already solved long before you did, hence why the solution is already in ChatGPT's dataset.
You never were a software engineer in the first place.
>>
>>107920016
How many times have you guys said this, only to be proven wrong one or two years later?

>Robots will take our jobs
>Indians and thirdies will take our jobs
>Chinese will take our jobs
>AI will take our jobs.

Adapt. Evolve. The biggest mistake the guys at the Rust Belt did was to never try either, which is why Detroit is still a smoking ruin.
>>
Isn't NodeJS the reason why Windows 11 takes a lot more RAM than Windows 10, along with many other enshittified apps?
>>
Let me make it comical.

>The job you spent your entire life working for no longer exists
AI can't do everything. Also, the software industry is saturated with jeets. If you're worth a shit, you'd go into robotics or automation. I don't know what the fuck you're crying for.
>>
>>107925644
>Robots did take a lot of jobs
>Pajeets (and Mexicans) did take a lot of jobs
>Chinks did take a lot of jobs
>AI will take over a lot of jobs

There is a clear pattern and it's a race to the bottom. Look at America over the last 60 years:
>manufacturing jobs out sourced to use cheaper slave labor overseas
>textile jobs outsourced to cheaper slave labor overseas
>various creative jobs like being a cartoonist out sourced to slave labor overseas
>various tech jobs out sourced to slave labor overseas
>many jobs that couldn't be out sourced overseas were taken over by illegal immigrants and people on Visas imported from over seas and paid a slave wage. They don't mind because it's more than their slave cousin back home is making
>various jobs have already been automated using technology

When I was a child we had a manufacturing based economy. Then it became a service economy. Now it's a gig economy. I'm not even that old.

They've been saying for the past 10 years that you will own nothing and be happy. You'd better get ready because it's coming faster than you think.
>>
Code writing going away is a good thing.
Do you really think it's preferable for humans to sit on their ass all day doing something between 'writing clever code and solving problems' and 'actually fucking nothing ' with the vast majority of participants doing nothing?

This is one of those cases where it's not about the journey. If there's a better way to make digital products then we should do it.

I use AI generated excel files for my job. I do bullshit construction estimates and I basically uploaded our company's .pdfs and .ppts training manual on how to estimate costs of shit like roofs, tiles, rebars, paint, whatever shit on a construction site. Granted, you still need to look at the CAD drawings but now you just copy values from schedules/tables from the CAD file, paste it into the excel files, and then you get a .PDF of tables with the costs and reports and everything. Don't care if it's 1%-5% more expensive or whatever (construction is mafia money anyways they can afford that shit), the money won't kill anybody and it's the structural engineer's responsibility if the building fails lol.
