I work for a large corp delivering low-mid sized projects, around 25 mil a year budget. Our code quality turned to absolute trash as they outsourced every new asset to an India unit (which they pretend is not offshoring because they set up a division over there to hire direct instead of using contractors).
Project delivery times went up by 2.5X, we spend over 6 months on a single damnv phased 'go-live' because nothing integrates and every single connection point is so poorly implemented.
If AI worked for complex code, all they would do is hire fewer Indians to use it.

Current AI for programming is trash at high complexity/context, but I appreciate something with infinite patience hand holding the Indians and checking for obvious errors. Because even a delusional chatbot is supervising is better than leaving them to their own devices, but the result will be basically the same because the Indian will just do whatever the chatbot says. And the chatbot will be confidently wrong and the Indian will churn and no knowledge will be retained.

Mass immigration isn't needed for fulfilling jobs, it's needed because the native population is not having enough children and reducing the overall populace. Smaller populace, less consumers. So immigration gives you more consumers and oh they are also sub-70 IQ and used to working for below minimal wage AND get government benefits for being hired, a win-win for companies, and the only way to stop them from outsourcing everything to India or South East Asia.
