I got g80sd oled monitor.
On that youtube video if the monitor is on "high" brightness the video shows more boxes, and on low/off it shows fever

But if its on high the overall brightness of the monitor is lower. Like if I open a white image its less bright on "high" than on "off"

Got this little one for 40€. It's a small sized aquarium m-ATX case that I intend to lay flat instead of standing up. Once laying down there's: 2x spots for fans at the bottom, 2x on the left side, 2x on the right side and 1x at the rear.

It came with 3x 120mm argb fans so I was thinking I'll add some feet underneath first then put 1x fan on the left and 1x on the right as intakes plus 1x at the rear as exhaust. If I do so it should create a positive (but not overwhelming?) airflow plus the left fan is blowing fresh air on the GPU and the right fan is blowing fresh air before the air cooled CPU.

Is there a better layout for a 3x fans setup? Also this case can host up to 7x fans so what's the optimum configuration if I should add more fans?

regarding your question, hdr peak brightness high you mean? it allows highlights to go to 1000 nits but it lowers ability to run full screen brightness higher, so you have higher peak highlights but less fullscreen brightness

if you want more full screen brightness u can use active tonemapping + contrast enhancer even but it will kinda fuck up shit, but with those two you can really blast brightness

Shopping for a new monitor makes me feel like a moron. Since I've got a beefier pc now, I figured it was time to finally go up from 1080p to 1440p. Currently I'm using an AOC 24G2U5 right now, but it seems like 24inch monitors aren't plentiful at 1440p so it's going to be a 27inch. At this resolution+screen size, am I right that these are pretty much the considerations to be made?

bit the bullet and downsized my 5800x3d/7900xtx to fit in a fractal terra. First time ever doing an ITX buiild. It was actually surprisingly easy to do, honestly I've had more issues with ATX cases in the past, with this every panel easily pops off and everything is accessible. I was worried about noise and temps, but those have been fine. Runs silent at idle, at games you can hear the fans but nothing ridiculous (which is actually better than my previous ATX case which had some weird rattling resonance somewhere I could never identify or fix). Temperatures are much better than I expected. Idles mid 30s, goes up to 60-65 in games with settings turned up and framerates uncapped.

I also have trouble finding an UWQHD monitor for myself over the past few months. To cut it short:

Are there any display chads running a CRT on modern systems itt? Maybe I'm romanticizing it, don't know, but I had one as a kid (I think a beige Viewsonic) playing Morrowind and Robot Arena 2, and don't recall blur. Well RDNA4 was the pinnacle of the Hybrid architecture, even FSR4 and redstone are not a fully ViT model rather still using a hybrid CNN-ViT implementation, next one as developed with Sony calling the shoots on the R&D and forcing them to abandon that and do GTX with dedicated RT and Tensor cores using which takes extra silicon that isn't much useful for anything else but the RT. the question is how much gains can they get on raster from the N3P node and what they learned doing RDNA4, i want you to remember that unlike this gen next gen AMD will no longer have a node advantage to nvidia gpus, (Vera and AMD will both be on 3nm N3P node).

I have the 321cup and it's a normal 4k monitor with a very slight curve of 1700R, you don't even notice it after 2 hours of getting it
I had a 1000R monitor before and that shit was unbearable
the slight curve actually helps with reflections on my sides a lot
quality wise, it's the same panel as the URX
the only difference is 165hz instead of 240hz, I accepted that downgrade for the price and better reflections because I noticed zero difference between 165 and 240 hz when playing a game

Well unlike previosu architectures, UDNA and UDNA2 will mirror RDNA2 and RDNA3, as they are architectures designed primarilly by Sony (project amethyst) they will be also on thhe xbox meme box (xbox magnus) overall though all they did was make them abandon everything they stand for and shamelessly copy nvidia, now the question is whatever that will be a good thing, but regardless the main concerns should be how the ps6 adoption will look like in terms of pricing if the copper and dram, nand market its still fucked on 2027.

Just finished building my new PC and noticed a couple things. Well, things other than the prices. It's something I only do like once a decade so bear with me.

1. The graphics cards are all like 3 fucking slots wide now. I still remember being floored upgrading my 650 to a 1080ti and needing two slots and two power cables. Not just that, the fuckers are LONG. I barely had room to fit my cpu radiator in my case front and still clear the GPU.
2. Speaking of cables, the fucking power cables. 3 8 pins for the GPU, fine. But 2 8 pins for the CPU? Jesus fuck, I thought it was bad going from a 4 pin to an 8 pin but the CPU wanting more juice available than a 1080ti is bonkers. It can't be actually using it. Then ANOTHER 8 pin supplemental for the PCIE so the GPU doesn't need to burn it's little connector as bad. $60 in new cables for the PSU. I mean, god damn.

Oh, and Winblows suddenly decides you need to reactivate if you change your hardware, now. Fuck them.

I have an H80i that has been in service since 2013 and still trucks along. I would have kept it if it fit on the AM5 socket. Giving it to a buddy of mine along with the rest of my old rig so he can make a head unit for his printer farm.

Anyway, bought a new 240L Coolermaster AIO for my new rig. It was only like $54. I really will never go back to air coolers. Heat pipes are nice on smaller stuff, but I want the heat sink reserve of high specific heat on things that heat up fast.

That's my thought, anyway. Coolers are one thing that hasn't spiked in price and actually gone down, so don't worry about getting one you don't like. Cheap to change out.

So I use the cables plugged into two different PCI slots on the power supply right?

My PNY 5070ti came with the 3 cable thing, so that's what I used. 3 8 pin VGA on an EVGA Supernova. I would just use whatever you think will handle the current. It's not like the ports aren't all connected on the same bus. 3 cables with shit builds and copper will do less than 2 with good braid. I'd say the limiting factor is the build quality. Buy good cables of whatever kind. The connectors will handle the heat.

meh. it's shameless brand loyalty but i still buy intel cpus because it's what im used to. ive seen all the reviews i know how much performance im missing out on but I still find myself building intel. Wow another anon with the same. Knock on wood I also got a h80i (I think? Single 120mm rad) on my old PC that still works. I need to replace the fans due to them starting to sinewave whir due to age and dust probably but I don't wanna jinx turning off my PC and it won't ever turn back on. It's been always on 24/7 so I've keep it thermally consistent for years.

I'm going back to air coolers here soon for my in progress build because I hated the dress that modern AIO just aren't as engineered as well as back then, everything seems to be cheap or have 1 aspect of Achilles heel for products nowadays.
Also I hate pump sounds so I lucked out with that Corsair since it barely even pumps and basically is almost a passive thermal loop (like that Noctua prototype) since it's mounted in a reverse ATX case....
