Got this little one for 40€. It's a small sized aquarium m-ATX case that I intend to lay flat instead of standing up. Once laying down there's: 2x spots for fans at the bottom, 2x on the left side, 2x on the right side and 1x at the rear.It came with 3x 120mm argb fans so I was thinking I'll add some feet underneath first then put 1x fan on the left and 1x on the right as intakes plus 1x at the rear as exhaust. If I do so it should create a positive (but not overwhelming?) airflow plus the left fan is blowing fresh air on the GPU and the right fan is blowing fresh air before the air cooled CPU.Is there a better layout for a 3x fans setup? Also this case can host up to 7x fans so what's the optimum configuration if I should add more fans?

Shopping for a new monitor makes me feel like a moron. Since I've got a beefier pc now, I figured it was time to finally go up from 1080p to 1440p. Currently I'm using an AOC 24G2U5 right now, but it seems like 24inch monitors aren't plentiful at 1440p so it's going to be a 27inch. At this resolution+screen size, am I right that these are pretty much the considerations to be made? >Regular IPS: pretty much the same as I have right now, but higher res. Maybe the colours/other stuff have gotten better in the 7-something years since I got my current model? >HVA Miniled: Better contrast, good colours, good for HDR. Some people/reviewers say it sucks for anything non-HDR, VA panels possibly ass for showing movement?>IPS Miniled: Worse contrast but better colours compared to HVA miniled. Showing movement is better, but more blooming. Possibly still sucks for non-HDR content>Some flavour of OLED: Best colours and blacks, best at showing movement. Less bright than the other monitors, at 1440p can apparently have issues with showing text. Some need to be babied a little due to the screen's coating. Also need to be aware of burn-in risks. Some models have issues with vertical banding and dirty greys or whatever. Also more expensive than the other types by a not-insignificant amount. At first I was thinking that one of those mini-leds with 1000-something areas would be a good step up from my regular ips, but I use this screen for everything (50/50 between games/movies and reading/work stuff) so if it's worse than a regular ips outside of hdr stuff, that's a no. As an aside, these monitor model names can go suck a dick. These random letter/number combos make it pretty confusing after a while when comparing them. But that could just be me being a moron.

bit the bullet and downsized my 5800x3d/7900xtx to fit in a fractal terra. First time ever doing an ITX buiild. It was actually surprisingly easy to do, honestly I've had more issues with ATX cases in the past, with this every panel easily pops off and everything is accessible. I was worried about noise and temps, but those have been fine. Runs silent at idle, at games you can hear the fans but nothing ridiculous (which is actually better than my previous ATX case which had some weird rattling resonance somewhere I could never identify or fix). Temperatures are much better than I expected. Idles mid 30s, goes up to 60-65 in games with settings turned up and framerates uncapped.

I missed the window on getting it for 500 eurobucks>Benq ex3415r - had it at home for testing. Great build quality, response time was fine, around 6ms with no overshoot, but it was incredibly dark and was just awful out of the box. Took me 5 days of testing to calibrate it properly, but the 200 nits max brightness are just awful. Maybe I was just unlucky, cause only around 10-20% of people complain about the brightness issue. Could've been one from a bad batch. HDR was dogshit with white smearing all over the place. Got it dirt cheap for 415 EUR.>Benq ex3410r - VA Panel, 144hz around 6ms response time with no overshoot, seems alright, 1000R is a bit too aggressively curved probably, just can't find it anywhere for a decent price. Used to be 380 euros, which is a bit steep for a VA panel, but the build quality is pretty outstanding.>GIGABYTE G34WQC2 is what I ordered 2 days ago. It's a 200Hz VA panel. >>107964067just get oled since having deep blacks is the most important thing for image quality + instant pixel response time for gaming + high hz
>>107964047Well RDNA4 was the pinnacle of the Hybrid architecture, even FSR4 and redstone are not a fully ViT model rather still using a hybrid CNN-ViT implementation, next one as developed with Sony calling the shoots on the R&D and forcing them to abandon that and do GTX with dedicated RT and Tensor cores using which takes extra silicon that isn't much useful for anything else but the RT. the question is how much gains can they get on raster from the N3P node and what they learned doing RDNA4, i want you to remember that unlike this gen next gen AMD will no longer have a node advantage to nvidia gpus, (Vera and AMD will both be on 3nm N3P node). Basically AMD bet was that with the node advantage on nvidia and not using any sillicon for dedicated RT cores they were be able to have really good raster and the hybrid model in which the CU can act as WMMA or Shader units would mean that they scale both very well against nvidia which divides the sillicon, the result was the idea that AMD quickly catch up as they took many shortcuts which they are correcting on their next architecture

As for the Radeon divison they are also taking over the Ryzen AI segment and taking it over from the Ryzen divisions, so they'll be a lot more focused on both enterprise/work station solutions while letting Sony take the wheel on the gaming side GPU side. Overall if the PS6 is as succesful as the ps5 you'll see them having leverage with game devs, and maybe even Gaben releasing the steam deck 2 with a RDNA5 GPU's which would put them on a similar position as they are now where they do have enough leverage to force devs to at least optimize games to run their hardware/upscaling solution..They also got nearly 20 patents about RT and overall gaming with most of them being co-developed alongside sony division https://www.reddit.com/r/GamingLeaksAndRumours/comments/1qhlv2c/20_ray_tracing_scheduling_and_other_amd_patent/Which shows how much less involved Radeon is on the R&D

>>107964857Yesterday:
how does linux do in old directx9 games? I wonder if warcraft 3 runs well in it
Just finished building my new PC and noticed a couple things. Well, things other than the prices. It's something I only do like once a decade so bear with me.1. The graphics cards are all like 3 fucking slots wide now. I still remember being floored upgrading my 650 to a 1080ti and needing two slots and two power cables. Not just that, the fuckers are LONG. I barely had room to fit my cpu radiator in my case front and still clear the GPU.2. Speaking of cables, the fucking power cables. 3 8 pins for the GPU, fine. But 2 8 pins for the CPU? Jesus fuck, I thought it was bad going from a 4 pin to an 8 pin but the CPU wanting more juice available than a 1080ti is bonkers. It can't be actually using it. Then ANOTHER 8 pin supplemental for the PCIE so the GPU doesn't need to burn it's little connector as bad. $60 in new cables for the PSU. I mean, god damn.Oh, and Winblows suddenly decides you need to reactivate if you change your hardware, now. Fuck them.

>it beats the 5800x3d****>look inside>253watts 98c oxidizing at rapid pace almost turning to rust>still loses to the x3d chip>also requires ddr5 7200mhz ram tuned by buildzoidyep, that's intel for (You)

>>107965624>STOP LIKING WHAT I DON'T LIKE!Imagine being this guy
>>107965635>>107965644raptorlake shills can't deal with reality
>>107965636My PNY 5070ti came with the 3 cable thing, so that's what I used. 3 8 pin VGA on an EVGA Supernova. I would just use whatever you think will handle the current. It's not like the ports aren't all connected on the same bus. 3 cables with shit builds and copper will do less than 2 with good braid. I'd say the limiting factor is the build quality. Buy good cables of whatever kind. The connectors will handle the heat.
>>107965660I have 2 AMD PCs, a 5700x3d and a 9800x3d, and an Intel PC, a 14600K. Your angst is meaningless.
>>107965660very funny coming from a ban evading troon
>>107965636That's what the manual always says for liability but in reality its better to use the native cable that comes with the PSU.
>>107965579its... over...
>>107965624meh. it's shameless brand loyalty but i still buy intel cpus because it's what im used to. ive seen all the reviews i know how much performance im missing out on but I still find myself building intel. And when my non-tech friends come to me for build advice, I usually saddle them with a Ryzen because I know my brand loyalty is irrational so I only apply it to my own purchases.
>>107965679Ok, but if I use two seperate PCI ports to use the cable, this is the optimal best manufacturer practice right?I have cables to plug into the PCIe on my power supply that break into two 8 pin cables
Somebody open a new thread please
>Amazon assured me my defective ram refund will be processed by yesterday >It's not>Chat them up >Rep promises they will submit it manually, but expect it to take another 3-5 days>Return page does not even update still stuck on processing returnThey are just buying time right? They didn't actually do anything?
>>107965352Wow another anon with the same. Knock on wood I also got a h80i (I think? Single 120mm rad) on my old PC that still works. I need to replace the fans due to them starting to sinewave whir due to age and dust probably but I don't wanna jinx turning off my PC and it won't ever turn back on. It's been always on 24/7 so I've keep it thermally consistent for years.I'm going back to air coolers here soon for my in progress build because I hated the dress that modern AIO just aren't as engineered as well as back then, everything seems to be cheap or have 1 aspect of Achilles heel for products nowadays. Also I hate pump sounds so I lucked out with that Corsair since it barely even pumps and basically is almost a passive thermal loop (like that Noctua prototype) since it's mounted in a reverse ATX case....
>>107965396Context:>Best AM4 build to weather until AM6.Anon's retarded take:>Intel has the best CPU for AM4 owners.Kek. Are you from Reddit or something with your 'tuber bullshit? Fuck off already with your techlet takes.
>>107965679>>107965668I have a 600w cable on my 1000w be quiet power supply - thats FAR more than two 150v PCIe slots will provide right?
There are no more 5070's anywhere for below 1000, is there?
>>107965808 The card isn't supposed to use more than about 450w so 600w is more than enough overhead, even when overclocked.

holy shit dude, just use the cables that come with the psu, that's the solution
>>107965906the psu cables don't fitI need the adapter or the special cableboth are 2x8 to 12vhpwr
>>107965922if the psu only has 8 pin cables use the adapter that comes with the gpu then
