FAQ:
>How do I activate Windows?
HWID2 generates and registers a permanent legitimate license on MS's activation servers
github.com/massgravel/Microsoft-Activation-Scripts
Usage: paste this into Powershell, run.
irm https://get.activated.win | iex

>and Office?
Same link, select Ohook option
You can also use Office.com if your needs are very minimal
or try OnlyOffice/LibreOffice and set it to save in MSOffice file formats

>What version should I install?
>W10 Enterprise IoT LTSC 2021
Binary identical to Enterprise except no MS Store or apps
Preinstalled with: Edge & Win32 system apps
10 years support on "IoT LTSC", 5 for "LTSC"
Manual version upgrades
IoT LTSC 2022: https://pastebin.com/rHcgvYS7

>W11 Enterprise IoT LTSC 2024
Same as W10 version except:
UI written in React Native aka JavaScript including: Start, Taskbar and Explorer that lags even on i9s
Use only if you fell for the 12th+ gen Intel meme and need the new CPU scheduler
Wait for IoT LTSC 2027 if you can

>Installing apps on LTSC
Use WinGet/Scoop or install MS Store in CMD with: wsreset -i

>W11 Home/Pro/Education/Enterprise/Enterprise IoT

I've got a little thinkcenter running mint at the moment, but I also want to run win 11 iot on it at some point.
Is there a guide anywhere for dual boot going from linux to win? I've only seen it the other way around, or am I overthinking and it's as simple as creating a partition for win11 to live in?

My mom's computer has suddenly stopped recognizing there's a printer plugged into it. I've tried resetting it, leaving the computer and the printer off overnight, and plugging it into a different usb port, but nothing works. I figured it might be a driver issue, so I tried to check windows update, but apparently that broke years ago and it hasn't been able to install an update since 2024. it just gives an 0x800705b4 error, which seems kinda generic. I've tried stopping the update service and emptying the contents of the software distribution folder, and running sfc, but still nothing. I also tried using the media creation tool to maybe repair the install, but when it hits the checking for updates stage, it just gets stuck there too. I'm running out of ideas at this point, short of either buying a new printer or a complete windows reinstall (which isn't ideal since I'm doing this all remote and trying to walk her through things would be difficult). god I hate printers so much

everything works fine on windows 10 iot ltsc 2021
if you have drivers for windows 10, i recommend
>>
>>107975858
>connect one drive
>install windows to one drive, disconnect drive
>install linux to a separate drive
>plug everything back in
>use f12 to select bot drive

uni is so strong and such a mysterious creature...using windows.

it's an incredibly unusual setup.
I only have the one NVME drive in it, and the second nvme I want to leave open for an occulink adapter while I save up for an unpleasantly overpriced egpu setup. So it would have to be both os's on the same drive.

Is it safe/possible to upgrade from Windows 11 Pro to IoT Enterprise?
>>
>>107982757
You can do it but it's a bit hacky. You can use the tool LTSConvert to have it done more automatically via a powershell script with GUI buttons.

They all basically do the same thing, Winhance is one the newest which is pretty good, basing itself on a autounattend file maker but made to run on a live system.

You're gonna love asheroto's winget-install script.
