My laptop, phone and TV are all OLED. I'll probably get an OLED monitor when I can buy one with a Thunderbolt 4 hub and KVM. IPS "black" is doing a good job for now.
I've been using the same monitor for over 10 years now and it just looks as good as ever so I see no reason to change. Also it has these concenient USB ports on the side and all the models I've looked at only have them on the back.

I tried oled one time and there was this weird streaking pattern that was most apparent on medium grays. Looked like brushed aluminum on areas that should've been a solid color. Returned it the next day.OLED not even once

I bought my OLED last year. The picture is great, but honestly if you're not looking at a LCD or even TN panel side-by-side, you'll quickly forget the difference. The biggest thing holding it back at this point is HDR support with different operating systems. Just do research on the OLED panel the monitor you want has, some have issues with gray banding.

An OLED would be nice for sure, but most still have blur/persistence issues, and modern displays that are negating this feature with things like Nvidia Pulsar or various BFI techniques don't fully compare to CRTs. Most also have color fringing issues, only recently negated by stuff like Asus' RGB stripe technology (and that'll add to the cost as a premium new product). It's just an expense that I feel like I am not comfortable making when I know it isn't quite 'there' for the things that matter to me most, even if I'm sure the upsides could still be a very cool upgrade. I personally would like to come across a decent CRT for free/couple bucks instead...at least with my present financial situation.
