Do people actually still use PhotoSlop in 2026 or is it all just shills and wageslaves?
>>
I just use photopea
>>
>>107983902
I use a mix of Krita and PS CS6. I feel for the Gimp troll once but I realized it was a troll program. As if adobe programmers used it as an outlet for every bad idea they ever had.
>>
>>107983975
I dislike it. you need to subscribe to get better features. like the automatic subject select feature. Probably not as good as PS
>>
I use paint.net
>>
>>107983902
I use photopea, cause ps is too comfy and too lazy to pirate, gimp is ok, but very uncomfy
>>
>>107983902
I use cs6. It's free like free beer.
>>
>>107983902
did gimp ever fix the issue where it sucks balls?
>>
>>107984292
No, but they added more ball sucking though
>>
>>107983902
CS6 Portable & PhotoPea are free, no reason to use something as bad as GIMP.
Also Krita exists.

gimp is shit compared to photoshop, however mention linux on /g/ and suddenly it becomes a primordial requirement for every computer, along with autocad, solidworks, after effects, sony vegas and ableton
>>
>>107984801
Troonix. Not even once.
>>
>>107983902
Yes, despite trying to get rid of it for 8 years I never found a better alternative. I don't even use anything past cs7.
>>
>>107983902
Gimp still can't even draw a circle.
>>
Gimp is still total shit, just use Krita or Affinity.
>>
>>107983975
It runs like hot garbage
>>
>>107983902
What else am I suppose to use?
>>
>using linux in front of class mates
>teacher says "Ok students, now open photoshop"
>start furiously typing away at terminal to install Wine
>Errors out the ass
>Everyone else has already started their classwork
>I start to sweat
>Install GIMP
>"Umm...what the fuck is THAT anon?" a girl next to me asks
>I tell her its GIMP and can do everything that photoshop does and IT'S FREE!
>"Ok class, now draw use the shape tool to draw a circle!" the teacher says
>I fucking break down and cry and run out of the class
>I get beat up in the parking lot after school
>>

You got the original screenshot of this?
>>

I use a pirated photoshop 23

lol, lmao even.

>CS6
Last usable version without cloud/ai pozz.
>>
>>107983902
Paint.NET for simple image editing. It loads quickly unlike Photoshop and GIMP is unintuitive.
Photoshop 2019 if I need to do something more complex, such as content-aware fill.
Clip Studio Paint for drawing and painting.
>>
but anons surely AI has removed the need for photoshop? you can just code your own :) or use AI to make the edits for you :)

I shall be using this cracked version of cs6 until the new ones actually function properly. It's bad enough my Wacom drivers are "unsupported" in win 10.

I need to finish a new GEGL GIMP Plugin that makes wood text but I've been lazy and delaying it for days, it has a extremely complex graph and you can text it here

You can test a static preview of the plugin without installing by putting this syntax into GIMP's gegl graph filter filters>generic>gegl graph

Gimp is a humiliation ritual. It's in the name - only meant for perverts who get off on torturing themselves.
>>
>>107983902
photoshop is great

>>107983995
i also use cs6 getting it to work in wine like a decade ago finally made me move over to linux it was the only thing keeping me on windows really. i often install different versions of cc and they work for a period but then get broken by a wine update quite annoying but my cs6 install never fails
>>
Is there something wrong with Affinity? I dl'd it but haven't used it yet
>>
>>107983902
old copy PS CS3
>>
>>107986741
Not really, it just phones back sometimes. Block it with your firewall if you care, but I think it's mostly because it has some optional AI tools built in.
>>
>try to do the simplest of operations using GIMP
>"umm this feature isn't officially supported yet, but here's [insert insanely convoluted workaround] you can try"
>even resizing and moving layers on the canvas is unintuitive as fuck compared to PS
Garbo software in every way

>>

I have it installed but haven't opened it in years, krita, aseprite and paint.net is what I've used instead. Not because I have too but they're just better for what I use them for.
>>
>>107984292
It's not an issue, it's a feature.
>>
>>107983902
Photoshop peaked at 2018, I'm still using it with a couple of new image format plugins and it doesn't give me trouble at all
>>
>>107984761
Cs6 is free now? When did that happen? Is the portable version vastly different from the extended version?
>>
>>107984801
lmao bruh
>>
>>107984801
I just tried this, and it doesn't happen for me. Is this an old bug that was already fixed?

Adobe CC is the Windows of creative suites, it's the "standard" people expect you to use in a professional environment.
It's also rotting for the same reason as Windows, too many pajeets.
