I have a Windows 7 desktop PC and a Linux laptop, and I am holding out for Windows 12 to get a hot new good desktop that can run modern shit. If it turns out to be irredeemable cancer, which I accept is starting to look likely, I might get a Linux desktop and a Windows 12 (or even 11) laptop. I don't want to leave Windows behind completely, mostly because every job I apply for says, "Make sure you use Windows a lot so you can fix our office PCs!"Macs are definitely the best computers at the moment; I used them in my old job and they're great. But if your work gets bought out by corporate yuppie women who only use Windows, like mine was, it's ogre for you.
My secondary PC has Windows 10 on it and I keep it permanently offline now. I only use it for niche Windows-only tasks, compiling Windows executables and testing them natively on Windows.

The issue with productivity software is that if you get, say, the right set of WINE hacks needed to run AutoCAD, these will JUST run AutoCAD, you can't just copy and paste them to get Photoshop working, or even something by the same company, like 3DSmax.

Thinking windows 10 1507 and 22h2 are the even remotely comparable or that windows 10 22h2 and 11 22h2 are completely different.Windows 10 was supposed to be the last version since it turned into windows as a service with semi annual releases. The only reason they renamed it to 11 was to be able to drop support for older hardware have better system integrity.
