My g502's left click crapped out due to their shitty chinese switches. I know the g502x uses some optical switches but I heard those have problems of their own.

At this point I have had too many logitech products fail on me in unreasonably short time frames. What is a good alternative to the G502? I loved this mouse so much.

Not every G502 is made equally. If you specifically have G502 Hero, the new iteration, they are much more prone to double clicking due to Logitech repurposing their wireless mouse switches, resulting in it being undervolted, which over time results in double clicking. This was the reason I got the G502 Proteus Spectrum, though from what I heard G502 Proteus is also good. Worst case buy a G402.

My G403 Prodigy that I got in 2018 still works as new.
Will prob get a Viper V3 or Deathadder V3 next.
Every iteration of G502 just randomly exploded for me after a year.

See if you can find the original G502 (blue or RGB) barely used. It's a long shot, but those were basically indestructible. Still using mine.

Also you might be better off just replacing the switch with one that will actually last, if you can solder. It's not hard.

Why are people so afraid of fixing their own shit when it breaks.
>>
>>107990069
Soldering iron + solder + switch costs like a new mouse so people don't bother
>>
>>107990346
Ah yes, I forgot that you can only use those things once.

I need a new wireless mouse. What do I buy? I'm currently using mx518
>>
>>107987895
just buy another g502, no need to complicate this. its pareto frontier is pretty good everything considered. none of mine have actually failed but few of them last longer than a year due to anger issues
>>

A mouse is like $20. Most people get paid more than that hourly, so it's really not worth your labor time to fix it.

Just filter mice by sensor and buy the cheapest chinese mouse you find that has the proper sensor, or whichever one you like ergonomically.

It used to be tech enthusiasts liked to fix things for you know... fun. You also get a mouse with a superior customized switch that fits your preference.

Can't remember what mine is but it's for sure not the hero.
>>107989850
Yeah I'm looking into getting the switch replaced instead now.

I fix plenty of my own shit. I'm just not looking to get something I will only use once in years, my house isn't a junkyard.
>>107990777
Nah, I've had enough of logitech. g512 leds crapped out within weeks of purchasing and same with whatever replacements they gave me within warrenty. Seems like they just don't give a shit about QA anymore.
