Honestly, I like the look of it, OP should try to be less of a turbonigger and post the link to the actual primary source instead of some fucking journalist though https://community.braxtech.net/t/open-slate-megathread/4041

I think the thing that will stop me buying is that my use case for a tablet is primarily video games, then moonlight, and then media consumption, so it just won't be a good fit for me
>inb4 mediakek
would probably be an upgrade from the hacked switch that I'm using right now

Does obscure tech like this have accessories available for them? I'm wondering because I can't imagine using a tablet without a case/stand.

>Mediatek
>Mali
>Linux support
This will get 1 year of software/kernel support before getting abandoned and that's being generous.
>>
The Genio 720 SoC at least is built specifically for long-term mainline Linux support, with no proprietary drivers. Though it does leave a bit to be desired in a tablet device in 2026.

It's more or less equivalent to a midrange smartphone from 2020/21. It'll do basic smartphone tasks with no problem (web browsing, emails, photo, music, video playback, etc) but it wont be doing a ton of emulating (unless it's really old stuff).

Nah, the SoC is an IoT device SoC built for 10 years of mainline linux support.
>>
This sounds like it will be overpriced and underspecced.
